Would that I had the power!

As for the apps not being updated, devs weren't even allowed to update for iOS 11 until the GM was released. And some apps broke and repaired repeatedly through the beta process, so you never know if your app will really work until that GM is out. Give the devs some time. It's a process.

In the meanwhile, you're not missing much in Watch OS 4.

Thank you. You knew I was kidding, right?

It is a quandary that we haven't really seen before. At least not to this degree.

Also see how developers are affected by incentives. The apps I am referencing mostly exist because someone built them for their own purposes, and essentially sell them on the side. The subscription service was a massive change from a $60 stand alone app that charged several times for upgrades (iCloud syncing, etc) and just went to a $130 per year deal that just isn't worth it.

I was mostly looking forward to the new heart rate features on Watch OS4. I will have to avoid a Myocardial Infarction until after suitable replacement apps are found, and I can finally upgrade my phone.

Heh...sarcasm is often difficult to distinguish on here (many will do a /S at the end of their post, just so it's clear) :)

Yes, but we lived without emojis and such for millennia. I tend to dole them out sparingly, since there is an emoji shortage, caused by Apple enabling them pretty much everywhere.

We are running out, and it takes time to grow new ones...

Heh....we'd still use text to clue people in :) (I'm sure there's lots of people on here that remember the irc days) :)

This is YOUR fault!!! Do something about it!!!!

I should have picked up on this knowing Apple. The obsolesces forces owners to update, then they brag about the uptake rates at their next presentation.

I have three 32bit apps that are proving to be very difficult to replace. It would help if the App Store mentioned if apps were iOS11 compatible.

Could you at least fix that?

YOU should have known. No way you could expect a phone with old iOS to run a AW with the latest iOS. No ones fault except yours.

It’s not MY fault, I remembered the apostrophe, which you omitted. So it’s no one’s fault but your own!

Now go fix it, you mangler of punctuation!

I’m slowly figuring a way to live without the three apps that worked so well for me. Not optimum, but I think that I can get buy. Just amazing at how many apps have been abandoned, and how many developers leave absolutely no contact information. Wonder if Apple is keeping score?

Yep. As I stated above, I should have known. It is the Apple Way.

Glad you admitted your error. Dissing people on punctuation is kinda petty.

I do love your avatar!

You really need to lighten up Francis- before you horned into this discussion, I had already mentioned that I should have known in the post where I was kidding Allie. We’re all just having fun with an aggravating situation. It will all blow over, as long as our punctuation (and spelling) is correct.

<--- Quit being nosey.
