Ok.... Is this concrete info as I have not read this anywhere? If correct, then going by what you are saying it should be back as soon as they get their servers sorted!
I don’t think this was a spontaneous decision. It should have been communicated thru the channels.

Of course it will be. Do you think they’ve pulled 6.0 and 6.01? That makes absolutely no sense. The new watches come with 6.0 on them and there is absolutely not any possible way to pull that OS when it’s shipping live on watches. People can’t upgrade to 6.0 and 6.01 because the servers are confused because of the other update that was released a couple of days ago for older devices.
You can still release new watches with 6.0 installed. But for older watches please explain; if 6.0 & 6.01 are not available then what is it called?

Sigh. It’s called server error. You think Apple pulled the 6.0 OS willingly? Please explain how they did that when I set up a new S5 watch it sets it up at 6.0. If they pulled the OS it would be humanly impossible for it to load onto the watch. Why would they pull it when they already released a big fix for it (6.01)? It’s an issue with their servers. They can’t “pull” an OS that is shipping with watches. If someone erased and restored their watch they wouldn’t be able to load an OS on it because 6.0 is the only OS the S5 will take.

Tell you what.... “Keep Calm & Chive On”. Gets my vote 👍. Oh and have a 🍺 on me.

all this stress gave me such a headache last night at the Apple Store

I got a new S5 SBSS today to replace the one I purchased Friday. Regardless of whether or not this is a server issue, the watch purchased Friday, was getting strange messages, during pairing and needed replacement.

Staff were immensely helpful.

However the replacement and pairing on the store’s WiFi network, did not solve the problem under discussion.

in the absence of any alternative explanation, it must be a server issue.

It’s just an OS update. It will get sorted out by this week. It’s not worth getting all worked up over.
No I know my friend. Its just the attitudes and lack of knowledge. The "Genius" at the apple bar said, "maybe its the titanium watch. Maybe its not available for it. So i returned it and got the Nike. It's just such stupidity.

about a week and a half ago, i bought the SS SB S5 44mm, returned it, didn't like it. but i was also able to get it updated to 6.0.1 after setting it up. got a nike s5 in black (returned, also didn't like lol) but same story. was able to update it. got the nike in silver this time which i'm happy with but can't update past 6.0. it has to be apple's servers.

Message popped up on my phone saying I was using an unpaired watch. Had to set up my watch like new and now 6.0.1 update is showing. Must have been server issue as mentioned earlier.

Yippie!
