Went to an Apple store and wasted lots of time. They ran diagnostics but couldn’t find anything wrong. Of course they didn’t/couldn’t do any physical checks as was suggested by the Apple phone support person — it‘s really amazing how they just make stuff up on the phone, but anyway. On top of that, the Apple store diagnostics aren’t even accurate—I saw the one that shows battery levels over the last X days. It was missing days that were supposed to be in the range (no explanation from apple guy why it’s missing) and for some days the info was wrong. Anyway #2....
Long story short, apple store guy suggested I call Apple support to set up a repair. I did that (it took over an hour to actually speak with someone who could answer questions without giving me the run around) and it’s set up as a battery replacement. Now I am waiting for the package/label to ship the watch to Apple.
To be continued.
