Has anyone noticed a battery drain after going to OS 8? I know and expect things with Beta but with some new features might have something on that needs to be off.
I have an iPhone 11
Other than that it's great!
Lots of features.

Most of the time, the watch beta is going to cause the battery to drain faster than normal. If it gets too excessive for you, try turning off things like background app refresh and AOD to mitigate the drain.

I’m not on OS8 but have 7.5 and it’s started draining my battery terrible. I’ve gone from have 30-35% a day to it warning me at 9pm it’s going into power saving mode. I hope Apple recognise this as it’s probably the same issue on the beta too.

I had to completely wipe my phone and watch to get back battery life and on normal iOS and watchOS releases, not betas.

Yep, battery is pretty terrible on mine too. Still gets me through the day so I'm not too worried about it, but I gave it a hard reset tonight so we'll see if that helps at all.

try an unpair and re-pair, it should get a bit better, and then improve over a few days.
sometimes things get off during upgrades

My contacts won't sync on WatchOS 8. I've unpaired/repaired but nothing. Pretty annoying, but my own fault for being on beta. Just didn't think something like that would stop.

you'd be surprised, they broke atmos on the appleTV, and that was a public beta, so fairly far along in the process.

Hello,
Can you draw letters when typing sms or messenger? It’s impossible for me in watch os 8.

BUMP THIS! Series 6 on watchOS 8.0 severe battery drain. Left for a run on 100%, and watch died midway.
Charged it up, lost 20% in one hour just wearing it. Something is wrong.

Series 6 here too. Haven’t noticed any issues with battery draining. Maybe unpair and repair will help.

Apple Watch series 6 and upgraded to WatchOS 8. Severe battery drain here, too. It was fully charged before I went to bed around 10:30 PM and I got an alert around 9:45 AM that I only had 10% battery left. On Watch OS 7 I could get to midday before needing to recharge.

I have an apple watch series 4 and the battery went from 100% to 30% in a matter of a few hours. It is drastic. I am charging it now and will reboot the phone and the watch to see if that makes any difference.

I have a AW 6 on OS 8 since I upgraded battery has been awful. Yesterday dropped from 60% to 38 within 1hr 1/2 and Watch is 2 weeks old was great on previous OS.

having the exact same issue since updating. i have a pretty much brand new SE that had no problems w battery at all until OS8. it will go from 100% to 80% in literally 20 minutes while not being in use whatsoever. i have unpaired/repaired, restarted, etc. nothing has fixed this so it's obviously a software issue that apple needs to be made aware of quickly so this doesnt take 68 years to get resolved.

After rebooting my phone and watch, the drain has improved a lot. In the

After rebooting my phone and watch things were a lot better. For instance this morning it went from 100% to 30% in a few hours. After the reboots I had 86% after 12 hours.
