Been two months since my S3 stopped charging to 94% but all of a sudden it did it again today o_O

I got my AW3 GPS only back in November. Smiled as I read this thread thankful it wasn't me (awhile ago).

Well, last week it did it to me while on a trip. Kinda ticked me off. And it did it again to me today. I hard-reset it (Dial+Button)...

Noticing too that in the last few weeks the watch is going to 59% for the first time in its life (after a day and night) - I uninstalled every app but the Apple Heart Study - no change.

I'm not going to worry bout it. Ending a day and a night at 60-70% is still pretty good.

Battery life is lasting noticeably longer - first impression. Will know for sure tomorrow night after a normal full day of use.

I haven't updated to 4.3.1 yet, but I'm going on 6 weeks without having the battery only charging to 93% issue. Hopefully it doesn't rear it's ugly head with 4.3.1... I'll probably update tonight...

2 months later and I haven’t had the issue return yet since setting up as new.

2.5 months clean here. I did have one time I thought it had restarted the problem when I took it off the charger one morning and noticed after wearing it and unlocking that the battery was in the mid 90s - however I then learned the valuable lesson that one should check to ensure that the little inverter block is actually connected to power and not just lying next to it. Pah, wireless charging? :D

I encountered this problem recently. My Apple Watch Series 3 GPS is only charged to 93% every day I wake up. I sent it to Apple Support for repair but they responded that they found no problem.

What watchOS version were you on? I've not had this issue since updating to watchOS 4.3.1 some weeks back. Prior to this, I had to reboot my Watch every other day when I had this issue.

I was having the same problem with my Nike series 3 too until this 4.3.1 update. Now I’m not having the problem. Apple must have fixed something, thank goodness.

It’s been quite a while, a month or two at least, since I’ve had this problem. I’m assuming that Apple fixed it in a software update?

Hard to say. I didn’t have this problem with the previous watchOS versions, but then all of a sudden I did - with no updates recently prior to the issue starting. Time will tell (pun not intended/intended).

Likewise!
sorry but mine did it again this morning after weeks of working normally. I was hoping that it was fixed? Perhaps maybe a fluke since I am using a portable battery powered charger, but it has a full charge and has worked flawlessly for a while.I use it while traveling. I also charged it fully and it shows 3 of 4 bars after charging the watch all night.

SIGH

Ugh. That’s a bummer. But it does make sense since mine only started doing it out of the blue on the previous watchOS version. Mine hasn’t done it since the latest update, but I’m pretty sure it eventually will.
