Any ideas please it pairs but won't activate it was on os2 but just been to Apple repairs so I presume they will have put 1.01 on it

It will be sent out. At this time, no software restores at the Apple Store is possible and if you show up at the store with a watch running beta, they WILL give you a hard time.

Best bet is to call Apple.

That's because there are too many non-developers who choose to install wOS2 beta when it's not even a public beta. If you want to be a guinea pig, then accept whatever risk it involves, including having to ship it out to get it flashed back to wOS1.

Trust me, even if you have a Public Beta they will give you a hard time. They treated me with the disdain of a jailbreaker because I dared to use the Public Beta.

What do you mean it pairs but won't activate? You open the Watch app on your phone, point the camera at the watch, it does the pairing thing, then what happens?

Yes it pairs but then it won't activate it just hangs there I enter my email and password as it says it's linked with my apple account,I think I'm going to have to update my ip6 back to iOS 9 as it was swapped out and back on 8.4.1

The :apple:Watch might have wOS2 on it because it sounds like it might be Activation Lock. If so you must have iOS9 to use.

Ah yes, if your watch was paired with iOS 9 before, it makes sense it might not work with iOS 8.

Actually, are you trying to restore your watch from a backup? It might work if you set it up as new.

Tried both new and back up no joy iTunes is shocking on Windows 10 so having a mare trying to sort that

Maybe activation lock persists even though the watch is back on wOS 1. I think that's how activation locks work.

I have a ss watch coming tomorrow so I wanted to put this to factory for reselling but don't want it to be locked for a potential buyer

If you think it's been flashed back to wOS1, try erasing all content and settings by first connecting the AW to its magnetic charging cable and holding the side button until you see the Power Off slider, then force press it to get "Erase all content and settings."

Well, looks like you have to upgrade your phone to iOS 9 in order to get past the activation lock. Once you get in, there should be a way to remove the activation lock, just like there is a way to remove activation lock from iOS devices.

If it's Activation Lock it will be a brick without restoring to wOS 2 and using Activation lock to unlock.

The watch is completely independent of iTunes, it's the phone.
