I agree with this. I like watch faces with my favourite bands and teams on, so I like that the Pebble let's me make that choice.

In this very specific topic, it is maddening that some people consider AW to mean Android Wear, while others consider it to mean Apple Watch. Just DON'T use it. Please.

What is Android Wear? It never occurred to me to investigate something I would never have use for without an android phone.
Perhaps you're remembering this Android Wear watchface that I posted not long ago:
First you have to come up with a better one.
Face it, it's a pain to have to type "Apple Watch" all the time. Heck, that's why some people use iWatch, and I don't blame them a bit.
So please come up with an easy alternative. Perhaps we could all start using AWR for Android Wear and APW for Apple Watch or something.

I would say it should be the same as changing the phones home screen. People can put anything they like there so I do not see why the watch would be restricted. Of course, some backgrounds would not work to see the time properly but I think it should let you chose anything from your favorites folder you stored on the watch.
you gave me the idea to create a text shortcut: type in AW to autocorrect to Apple Watch each time. has to be in capitals otherwise it might think it to be wrong!
Yep. There was a watch face with a photo of Big Ben taken from the other side of the Thames. There was also a watch face that had an image of a mountain lake. Pretty sure there was a third image based face shown...it was something like a silhouette of someone on a beach at sunset.
Updated: While those watch faces don't seem to be on the Apple Watch website any longer, they are in the Reveal video. The Big Ben and mountain lake images are timelapses (found at 6:20 and 6:30, respectively). The beach image seems to be a still image (found at 6:43). There is also what looks like it is supposed to be a personal photo as a watch face at 10:26.

Smart idea, I'd spend a buck for any watch faces I'd like (If I was buying an Apple Watch). Though they look a little weird on a square dial.

Do you think that over time, we will get more watchfaces? One thing I like about Pebble watches is that we can design our own by adding our own images, etc. That's one thing I'll miss by buying an
i'm sure over time they will offer an sdk - having said that, group they offer, IMO, is far superior to anything else out there. I have a pebble and there isn't a single watch face that I like. Some of the android faces are ok - but none are iconic. I think the Apple watch face will become iconic and the mickey mouse is unlike any watch face out there (ignoring the android ripoff).
