I may have spoken too soon. I went through the update process, it seemed to be fixed after booting up, but now it's not loading the precipitation complication again. See screenshots. First one is it not working, then I decided to try tapping on it again and it loads. See third screenshot showing software version for proof. I have an Ultra 2.

The only thing that fixed it for me on Ultra 1 was to “Erase all settings” on iPhone 15 Pro Max, which is a giant pain in the ass.

It fixed it though.

Running watchOS 10.0.1 on AWS7

The weather complication workaround for me was to select a “default city”, instead of using “current location”. Once I did that, weather showed up in the complication.

That doesn’t help if you’re moving between cities, but that’s better than having a blank weather complication.
Thanks. That seems to have fixed it for me. Hopefully I'm not speaking too soon and it goes back to being an issue.

Does it fix the control center no longer swiping up to work?

Wait, that’s a feature? Does this mean we can export the control center to move to the haptic button rumored on the 16?

AWU2, did NOT fix my weather complication. Had to return to Carrot Weather one.

Also, it takes longer for my iPhone to unlock AWU2 than before.

Since installing this update my Ultra 2 has locked itself 3 times while on my wrist.

I also still have the issue of my screen flashing once per second when it is dimmed. It almost seems like it thinks the screen should be on and then changes its mind. It doesn’t do it all the time but when it does, it is very annoying when it does.

Edit: actually the flashing has gotten worse since this update. I had to turn off the always on display for now.

My weather comps are working so far. Conditions, chance of rain, temp, precipitation and wind. But I see others are reporting not. Let's see...

I don't see that problem.

Does it fix the too dim display in dark rooms? Thats my biggest issue going from my S4 to a S9.
cant barely read what’s on the screen when in dark rooms. i have the screen settings to max brightness.
You sure it's not on auto-on mode? Try turning your wrist.

I don’t believe this contained a fix at all for the weather complications. I think folks jumped the gun citing that it did fix the issue. A reboot of my AWU2 always fixed the complications for me for a bit. Applying the update today would cause your watch to reboot which in turn would have temporarily resolved the issue.

You all really, really need to correct your reporting on this. It’s inaccurate, as folks are following up in this very thread with reports that it’s still not working for them after the update. Do better.

That's what you get when listening to forum posters.

Hopefully Apple can figure out if the weather app is the cause of the battery issues that a lot of people are having since “upgrading” to watchos10. That’s the biggest issue right now. I’m surprised MR hasn’t released an article about it.

Same on 10.0.1 for my Ultra 2 and my partner’s S9. It’s actually a kernel panic as it produces an error log in analytics. I was hopeful today’s update would fix, but alas.

Open the Settings app on your Apple Watch. Tap Display & Brightness, then tap Always On. Turn on Always On, then tap the following options to configure them: Show Complication Data: Choose the complications that show data when your wrist is down.

That's set as "on" for all apps by default.
