To me it honestly feels snappier! Almost makes me regret pre ordering a series 4. Almost ;)
[doublepost=1537720736][/doublepost]I

it still gets perfectly through one day. I never looked at it before and neither do I bother checking it now.

Series 2 I never had to pay Attention to mine, but since watchOS 5, I have to make sure I can make it to the end of the day. Didn’t use to be this way.

My S2 feels the same but get ready for a serious uptick in how many calories burned are being reported per day compared to os 4! And exercise minutes too have increased by doing the same activity throughout the day. They have changed how things are calculated and it totally gives you more.
[doublepost=1537713163][/doublepost]My battery life is the same unless I use one of those new watch faces like the fire and water or vapor or liquid metal.

I am not seeing anything noticeable in the counting of calories or exercise minutes since the update. There's possibly some minor increase within what I see as typical numbers for the day, but so far my numbers since the update are comparable to those before.

I have not yet had a particularly active day however.

Has anyone update their series 2 Applewatch to the latest watch OS 5? If so, what’s your reaction to it? Is it slower? Faster? I’d like to wait for feedback before updating....

I think battery life is my biggest fear.... How significant is the change of battery life?

I have it on my series 1. No problems but can't honestly say if there is any change in battery life.

I just checked, been wearing mine today since 10 hours and it’s at 61%..

I could get 2 days out of mine on watchOS 4. With those numbers you described, that wouldn’t happen.

Also this is without doing much on the watch. If I did any kind of workout, we are talking about less than the 18 hours Apple says.

As an aside, where are activity challenges at now in the phone activity app? Like Thanksgiving, Earth Day, etc? Mine are gone.

I felt it was smooth and responsive as well, until I tried out my wife’s Series 4. Mine arrives tomorrow.

So how significant is the difference between Series 2 and Series 4? Series 4 has peaked my interest but my Series 2 isn't giving me any problems since the update to 5, it feels about the same as it did before the update. One thing that I've noticed is that when going into Workouts it is slow to load. There are a few other apps which seem a bit slow as well, this all prior to the OS5 update.

So completely charged my AW last night, and pulled it off the charger at about 6:45am. It was at 80% at 9:45. I don’t know what changed, but that is even worse then I have been seeing. I don’t understand.

My Series 1 is still at 100% after a couple of hours.

Are you using any new faces or complications? I set mine up as new, but just added the same face I always use (modular).

Using the same watchfaces. Funny it has been better the last week. Today randomly it just tanked.

Wow.. So it drains before the end of the day? My series two is on 50% and I've had it on for a day and a half... This makes me not want to update... hmmmm

I have ordered the series 4, but it won’t be here until the end of Oct. from what I have seen, they are better, but still not what we are use to. I think watchOS 5 is eating up battery no matter which watch you have.

Thanks for your responses. Are you guys working out with the phone?

I just updated last night and so far I love it! It's way better than OS 4. Used to take awhile before the Workout app would open but now it opens faster. Changing complications is faster too. Battery seems the same.

How does the Series 4 compare? Now that I have the OS 5, I'm now unsure if I still want to buy the series 4. Love the 44mm screen size though and I've been wanting to trade in my iPad Pro for some time now :D

The screen is the biggest improvement. Louder speaker is nice. The speaker is actually usable now for quick calls. It’s a lot faster than my Series 1.

Overall it kind of reminds me of the jump in screen and speed when I went from iPhone 6 to iPhone X last year,

So how’s the battery drain been on the series two with Watch os5? Ok?

I used it today for 15 hours (with an hour of exercise) and got like 20% left over tonight. Usually I can get around 30-40% but I don't mind as long as I can finish my activities goal :D

I definitely experienced increased battery drain. I used to end the day with about 20-25% battery life. After os 5, I would definitely go below 10% and on a few days it would turn off. Still usable for the most part, but a noticeable impact.

I don't notice battery drain on mine, but I have disabled walkie talkie. I think it eats a lot of juice ...

That being said, do you think it was worth it to update? Or should I stay with Watch OS 4? And avoid the update?
