Installed Beta 8 yesterday. Tomorrow I found that the screen of my Apple Watch 3 LTE won‘t light up. If I put it on the charger, it does. I even reset the watch, could use it as normal afterwards, but after the screen goes out it doesn’t come back on. Seems to work fine otherwise, e.g. it rings when a phone call is coming in.

Is the endless loop of Siri asking "who to send to" "what to say" fixed in the latest beta when trying to ask Siri to send a text message to someone?

I just realized that my workout map and weather conditions do not show up in the Activity app when reviewing workouts. Everything last worked on July 1st, the next workout I had was July 3rd and from then on, my map and weather conditions do not show up.

I've tried a few searches and can't find an answer, just on how to review settings for iOS 12 and below to see if something was turned off. For one, I do not have Apple Watch Workouts showing under Location Services on iOS 13 beta. I'm on the most recent developer beta on both my S3 non LTE watch and Xr phone.

Anyone else have this problem and find a correction?

Did anyone try installing apps through the App Store on the Watch itself? When I download free apps I just click the install button and it's ok, but whenever I install apps that contain in-app purchasing, I have to authenticate myself with a passcode.

Does anyone else have the same issue? I have no idea why I should need to enter a passcode for a free app?

Battery life results with beta 8:

- Series 3 42mm

27 hours
72%
08/24/2109 (04:30)

24 hours
70%
08/25/2019 (02:45)

I used the breathe app a few times yesterday to finally try it out so that must have used a little more power. Still, impressive results for such a tiny battery and what the Apple Watch has to offer.

I have all settings by default except for background app refresh. I never use theatre mode. I just silence it when needed. I also have the hourly bird chirp enabled.

I’m really concerned with the battery life - I know it’s a beta but it shouldn’t be this bad.
Ran a 20 km run this morning - pretty early so I started in the very high 90s in battery. Ran with GPS of course and without music and without my iPhone (as always) and ended with 59%

Isolated that could be okay, but later this year I’m running another marathon and I’m not even sure the watch is going to last for the entire race? Not even a year old. My pace is going to be a tad slower for the full marathon and it’s over twice the distance. Damn

You're basically doing 20% battery per 10km (rounding up). So you'd need to do 50km+ before the battery is really an issue. You're doing 42. Just make sure you're on 95+ before the event and you'll be fine.

Thanks - just thought that the pace on the day will be a bit slower so more time with GPS active would kill it... well here’s to hoping final WatchOS 6 fixes it a bit

Anyone using Elgato Eve Display sensors that give you temperature and humidity with Apple Home App?

If you do, when you open the Home App in WatchOS 6, are you able to see the temperature reading or, do you only see,"Name of Room, 2 sensors" and it doesn't expand when pressed?

It's working fine on my iPhone X running IOS 13... that is you get a pop up screen giving both readings just Apple Watch Series 4 Home App that doesn't work. I've reported it but just wondering if it is just me or more widespread! Cheers

Yep, exactly the same for me. When I pressed it on the watch it just kind of bounces but doesn’t show any additional information.

That's great.... in a not so great way ☹️

Have you reported it via the feedback app? I've reported it with a video showing exactly what you're seeing... the bouncing around bit. In the Feedback app in the status, it says, "Recent Similar Reports: None". Not sure if that is applied to most issues if below a certain volume of reports.

No I haven’t reported it. But will do now

Excellent. I've added your ref to mine, which is FB6901190.

If anyone else is experiencing this same issue, please report and add the Reference numbers from here. Hopefully, we may be able to avoid the final release going out with this fault.... otherwise the missus will go ballistic... it's here most used app, function!

I'm on the latest beta of WatchOS 6 and am having an issue with Apple Pay on my watch 4 - when I double click the side button on the watch the Apple Cash card appears and I can't swipe it away to get to any of my credit cards. It says "insufficient balance", which is correct as i haven't set up my Apple Cash card as i do not want to use it - is anyone else seeing this? It seems to have started only a couple of beta's ago.

Apple Pay working fine on my XS Max running iOS 13 latest beta. Have tried re-syncing watch, re-setting default payment and nothing is working - have reported through Feedback app - might just have to wait for next beta.

Do the new watch faces in iOS6 use the same colors as the customizable color watch faces? (not sure if im asking this right)

That doesn't seem like unreasonable battery life. I expect 20% battery burn per hour of GPS+AirPods (without iPhone) when I'm training, and a bit less when I race (without music or iPhone). That's enough for at least 5 hours.

I have a marathon in 12 days, and I will be wearing my Apple Watch. (I ran a half marathon on Sunday, and I thought the battery life was fine. But I didn't pay close attention to the battery percentages before and after.)

Well that’s pretty interesting... Please keep me posted regarding the battery...

Hopefully it will be okay but worst case I need to have my phone on me as well
