That's great.... in a not so great way ☹️

Have you reported it via the feedback app? I've reported it with a video showing exactly what you're seeing... the bouncing around bit. In the Feedback app in the status, it says, "Recent Similar Reports: None". Not sure if that is applied to most issues if below a certain volume of reports.

This is still broken in WatchOS 6 Beta 9

Is anyone else having the issue with the new now playing app on the watch not showing the correct elapsed time of a track playing on the phone. I'm using a series 2 on Beta 9 so it may be an older hardware issue.

Well that’s pretty interesting... Please keep me posted regarding the battery...

Hopefully it will be okay but worst case I need to have my phone on me as well

I will pay attention and report back after the race with my battery burn. I took a few years mostly off from training and gained some weight, so I'm not back in peak shape yet, but I should finish around 3:15, if the weather cooperates. Early September weather in Sioux Falls, SD is a crap shoot. Right now, the extended forecast for September 8 looks pretty good.

I will definitely not be racing with my phone. is right. I hate carrying it. I don't even carry it on training runs during warmer months. (It's not as big a deal in the winter when I have running pants with pockets.) That's why I love the Watch and AirPods combo. I have music for training runs without dealing with a phone or wires. (I don't race with headphones.)

This morning I ran 12 miles, 92 minutes, stock Exercise app using GPS, with AirPods, playing music, and no iPhone. My Watch battery dropped from 76% to 49% (-27%). That's a hair better than my 20% per hour rule of thumb.

I'm on the latest WatchOS 6 beta.
Ran a 10 km yesterday and didn't it didn't die through the evening - Going to test it at 20 km. run tomorrow.

hi! just upgraded to WO6 DB 9, currently running iOS 13 DB8, and I must say im having an issue with the notifications, i can get messages, activity and everything related with apps from apple but im not getting any other notifications from third party apps (WhatsApp i.e.) are you guy experiencing the same issue or is it just me? and if you did...did u find a solution? thanks.

Just checking if anyone else is experiencing this: I regularly wear my Watch while sleeping for sleep tracking and put it in Airplane mode. But ever since watchos 6 I noticed that my iPhone alarm is also triggering my watch, and when I check the settings it seems connected to my phone despite Airplane being on.

Is there some magic happening that temporarily knocks it out of Airplane mode or is Airplane broken right now?

Wow I actually have the opposite problem, I get every single notification except for iMessage. Somewhere during the beta cycle my iMessages just stopped using haptics or sound on my watch, but literally all other notifications work.

Just thought I would post that I am on WatchOS 6 b9 and the battery life is insane. On WatchOS 5.x I would be down to 25% by the end of the day (on wrist from 7am to 1am), but on this version I am on 70% after 12 hours - including over 70 mins of exercise. Paired to iOS13.1.

Let's hope the GM is this good.

Wow I hope to get similar battery life as well soon

I also saw good battery life on the current WatchOS 6 beta during my marathon on Sunday. I left my hotel room at 5:30 AM with the Watch at 100%. I started running at 6:30 AM, ran for 3:18:48 using GPS in the exercise app, hung around the arena after the race, and got back to my hotel room at ~10:30 AM, at which point I remembered to check my Watch battery. It was at 58%. That's much better than my 20% rule of thumb (although that includes AirPod use in training).

Looks like the Watch Series 5 is being shown off with a watch face looking a bit like a hybrid between California and infograph analogue - is this something that’s going to be S5 exclusive?

Thanks.

Wished we can get the AOD feature on series 4 with toggle to enable and disable. Rather than making it an exclusive feature for series 5.
They need some reason to get ppl to buy the Series 5 after all lol, just upgrading the compass wouldn’t warrant the upgrade for most, even the AOD doesn’t warrant an upgrade worthy release for me personally either so I’m keeping my Series 4 44mm SS Hermès Model for another year

The variable refresh rate screen tech sounds like a real hardware improvement that would be hard to implement in software. I think AOD battery life would be less than satisfactory on the Series 4, at least with most Watch faces. (A minimal, mostly black face might not be too terrible on the OLED screen.)

I'm going to stick with my Series 4 (gold aluminum) for at least another year. I'm still really happy with it.

It’s only a worthy difference if you care about the AOD, the screen isn’t higher res than the screen on the series 4 either so I don’t see much improvement worthy of an upgrade
