I am now getting nearly a day battery life instead of just over half a day on my Apple Watch series 1 with watchOS 6 beta 6.
That’s still half a day short of what I was getting with watchOS 5.

There is a.new chime that is much more pronounced. You can select which chime, if any, in the watch app settings.

Not sure if this is watchOS 6 related or hardware, for the last few days I’ve noticed when not on WiFi my watch is disconnected from my phone, checked all my settings and presumably this a Bluetooth problem.

I regrettably bit the bullet tonight and reset all content and settings on my watch, I can pair my phone and watch but it can’t connect after the initial pairing and just fails and unpairs.

I’ve rebooted both devices and tried manual pairing, but nope.

not sure what my next steps are.

You need to install the watchOS 6 profile on the Apple Watch. But you can’t do that on an unpaired watch.
I’ve done a work around before. It requires installing the profile somewhere in the pairing process.

I found this, which is similar to what I did back then,
“Guys. I solved the problem. I installed watch os 6 before iOS 13 like the other guys, and i couldn't pair my AW with iPhone properly. So, what you have to do:
1. Reset you AW to factory settings (press and hold "digital crown" and tap "reset").
2. Change your region to USA, and language to English (if it not) on AW (click "i" button).
3. Change your Region to USA and language to English on iPhone.
4. Pair and synchronise your AW.
5. DO NOT CLICK "DIGITAL CROWN" when synchronise finished. Click "OK" button on iPhone, than go to betaprofiles.com and download watchOS 6 beta profile again. Activate it.
6. Your AW will reboot.
7. Now you can click "Digital Crown" on the AW and BE HAPPY.”

Note that steps #2 and 3 were because of a beta 1 bug.

Still fails half way through step 4, just unpairs and goes back to the start.

Is your Apple Watch still listed as a device in your iCloud? If so remove it and wait a bit.
I do not know if the above instructions are exactly correct. The official solution is contact Apple.
I did get through this. You have to press something on the phone before it starts unpairing. Maybe it was an (i) or possibly the home button. I tried many things in the process. i even remember typing in the passcode on the watch many times. It was sometime before the auto unpairing that was able to install the watchOS 6 beta profile. After that I got it to pair, many betas ago. I’ll do some more research later and see if someone has a step-by-step solution on the net.

I got a used Apple Watch on swappa
Previous owner has watchos beta 6 on the watch, anything me or the previous owner need to be done in order for me to not run into issue pairing the watch?
I do not have developer account btw

Don't you just turn off the bluetooth headphones when you aren't using them? That should disconnect them.

Well, the reason I turn the AW off is to connect the headphones to my iPad or iPhone. And I wanna keep the pairing process open on the AW, don’t want to forget device.

It would be much easier if I can disconnect the Bluetooth on the AW similar to iOS.

Ummm... first off, iOS 13 needs to be on the iPhone in order for successful pairing, I kind assume you aware of that. Second, you do not need a developer account to run watchOS beta 6... BUT you have to be aware unexpected things might happen.

You have a few weeks before the official watchOS 6 is released, on this latest beta... I haven’t had any major issues with it, so I think you should be fine running this current beta without any issues. But the problem is iOS 13 beta can throw some crazy bug that can potentially cause battery drainage in this current beta.

But it’s a risk you’ll end up having to take... or you can “stumble” (google search) upon a beta profile for watchOS.

No I understand. If you kill the music app on your watch you should be able to reconnect your headphones to whatever device you want to. I do it all the time and it works seamlessly.

You should not have bought this. You are stuck on that beta and won’t be able to pair it to your phone. You have to be on iOS 13 betas in order to connect it. The only way to downgrade the watch is to send it to Apple. I’d cancel the sale if you haven’t received it yet because you have an essentially useless watch if you don’t have a developer account. Even if you do have a dev account; that beta profile is tied to that former user and you won’t be able to update. Send the watch back or don’t accept it because it will not work.

Am I going crazy or battery life is amazing on beta 6?
Hmm...it’s been interesting, for sure. I have two Series 4 Apple Watches, both cellular. The watch that I wear at night gets great battery life; the watch I wear during the day is hit or miss. It drained like crazy the first full day of use after updating. I restarted it the next day and saw no improvement. I restarted it again, and now the battery life is much better (draining about 1% per hour right now).

Mine still not on WatchOS 5 level. Ran a 10K 7 AM this morning and now close 11 PM it’s at 24% which is good but used to be better

I talked to the seller and he tested it with another phone using a public account and able to sync with the watch. Once the official watch os 6 releases, it should be back to normal I assume? I don’t mind running watchOS beta until official release is out.

My main concern is watchos6 to bring HUGE improvemts to the way the native sports tracker works with apple watch

Has anyone tried to use WatchOS 4 (1st gen Apple Watch) and WatchOS 6 (newer Apple Watch) with an iOS 13 iPhone? So two watched paired with the same iPhone. Any issues? WatchOS 4 + WatchOS 5 combo works with iOS 12. I'm still using my 1st gen besides my Series 2.

Anybody else having issues with Siri Raise to Talk? It hasn't worked for me at all in the last few betas, including beta 7 today.

Still can't send a message from the watch, if I tell Siri to send a text it asks who I want to send it to, then what I want to say, I say what I want to say then it asks (again) who I want to send it to, over and over.

I have had this same issue

Anyone else sync audiobooks to their Apple Watch using the Audible app for offline listening? I was doing it previously on watchOS 5 but not find they won’t sync on watchOS 6.

I’m chalking it up to changes made by the beta but wanted to check if anyone else could corroborate this issue in case I’m an isolated situation.

The stutter when going from the Watch face to the app screen (into the white clock app icon) on Series 4 seems cleaned up. Was the only bit of the UI that seemed to struggle.

Although I’m not liking the way the fire/water faces don’t reset to the start of their loop if you exit to the app screen midway through. When you return to the Watch face the animation is paused where you left it, rather than restart like it did on Watch OS 5.
