The hourly chime in beta 5 has changed slightly from beta 4. Both sound good and much better than that bird sound it made in the keynote.

Anyone else noticing the Home App (like the phone) displays multiple sensors under each room/area. For instance, Eve Temperature has temp and humidity as sensors. One the phone you tap the screen that says "Outside - 2 Sensors" and it opens up a screen that displays the readings for both. On the watch when you tap the screen it does nothing.

I've reported it but wondered if others had also spotted / reported it.

One question. What will happend if I downgrade to iOS 12, will I be able to pair it with my watch on watchOS 6 beta 5

I'm biting the bullet.

I updated my iPhone to iOS13 about 5 hours ago and it is trashing the watch battery as others have reported, so my theory is that the watch won't be worse on a beta so may as well go for it.

May the force be with me.

Same here. No notifications on my apple watch 4 with watchOS 6 beta 5. Only the activities notifications are working.

Useless watch
I wasn't getting iMessage notifications on my watch. After testing, I figured out that if my phone was unlocked, notifications wouldn't appear on the watch. Locked the phone and then I would receive notifications on the watch. Not sure if this happened before and I just realized this.

All good so far. Been up and running about 3 hours, been playing with it constantly and lost about 15% battery. Normal I think - especially as it is probably reindexing etc.

Did/does take about 3-4 mins to reboot - AW4.

Also noticed that none of my Cards are available in Apple Pay - though they seem fine in the watch app. May remove and see if they work.

Everything seems more fluid for some reason :)

I have iOS 13 public beta and since i updated the Watch to Watchos 5.3 the battery drain is terrible. I Dont know if the problem is the beta of iOS or Watch os 5.3

Update:

Since both iPhone 8+ and AW4 on betas (iOS13 & WatchOS 6) both batteries behaving :)

Watch been on my wrist today 12 hours and sitting at 54% - done about 60 mins of exercise and then normal wear. That is actually better than the watch on OS5.x

Happy, for now. Though I know as a beta anything can change until final release :)

For me it's been a bit up and down - some days my AW S4 almost dies around bed time and others like today it's hovering at 57% after 12 hours on the wrist. On WatchOS 5.X it never came close to dying - almost always around the 50% mark at bed time.

This is what I came here looking for. I love iOS 13 so far and can’t imagine going back to iOS 12, but my watches are not behaving with random sync issues and battery drainage. I will do the Watch OS 6 beta tonight.

Im just curious can I par iOS 12 iPhone with a watch with watchOS 6 beta
No. Watch 6 requires iOS 13.

Hopefully your upgrade went well. What I have observed from users in this thread and our iOS 13 beta 5 one is that users that are on the iOS beta and leave the watch on Watch 5 are finding issues with the watch including major Battery drain.
Updating the Watch to Watch 6 seems to fix all of those issues.
You'll see some people who say that both betas are unstable and not fit for consumption. I don't find that to be true in my experience. My iPhone X is just as stable and has just as good battery life on Beta 5 as it does when running GA code. Really with the current watch beta I am finding the same to be true with my watch.

Earlier in the beta cycle (beta 1 and 2) I found major issues on both devices. Now these releases seem smooth to me. Not issue free, but smooth. I can now clearly see Apple being able to provide GA level code quality at launch now in just over 4 and a half weeks.

Hope that you will find that your experiences are as good as mine are.

Searched the thread and didn’t find this addressed but apologies if I missed something. Photos not syncing between iPhone XS running latest iOS DB and AW4 (GPS) running latest WatchOS DB. Music looks like it has synced but cannot play over AirPods. Podcasts, however, are syncing in the Overcast app. I have reported these issues. Anyone else having similar issues?

Me, too. iOS 13 public beta. WatchOS 5.3. Draining really bad when I sleep with it. Glad I'm not the only one.
I see that iGeeksBlog has a link to the WatchOS beta profile. No developer account needed. I'm a little afraid, though.

I have the X and AW4 (Cellular) running the latest betas. I haven't had any of the issues you mention. I don't have any Airpods, but I do have some bluetooth headphones I use (Aukey B60) that plays just fine with music synced to the AW. Perhaps, a restart on both the X and AW4 might solve your problems.

Thanks, Will try. Installing DB 6 now in iPhone XS.

Edit: updating watch and phone to DB 6 seemed to fix those issues for me (though perhaps it was just the restarting that comes with updating the OS).

Just got on the watchOS beta last night. New build out today. Excited to see what’s changed.

WatchOS betas don’t see much changes, if anything at all. It’s more about performances and bug fixes... to help solve battery life.

My only complaint with watchOS, give us the ability to disconnect Bluetooth headphones similar to what’s done on iOS. I have to turn off the AW in order to disconnect.

Don't you just turn off the bluetooth headphones when you aren't using them? That should disconnect them.

So a few questions about WatchOS 6 Beta 6. I have been using WatchOS 5.3 with the iOS Betas, and there were issues with battery drain, related to Beta 5 (since it seems to have been fixed in iOS 13 Beta 6). I had two co-workers who got tired of the battery drain, and updated their watches to WatchOS 6 Beta 5. (I had a much earlier build of WatchOS on my watch but had issues so had to send it off to Apple to get downgraded).

I'm trying to see if a few issues that they were having with Beta 5 have been fixed in Beta 6, as I'm debating giving it a shot again, since it can't be that far off until it's final.

First, on both their devices, in the Health App, under devices it says "this apple watch is no longer paired with this iPhone". It seems their activity is tracking, etc. and they have no older/other watches they've ever paired (neither have updated to WatchOS 6 Beta 6 yet either, so maybe it's fixed in Beta 6), either way, wanted to see if this had been fixed, as one of them is getting paranoid that it says it, and plans to take his watch to downgrade, but is also PO'd he'll be without it for 2 days (mine took exactly two days from the the time I dropped it off at Apple, until it was delivered overnight to my home) -- even though I told him many times that he should not be installing the Beta, as it would require to be sent off.

Second, the mail interface on the watch -- it seems one of the guys works fine, but the other one, seems to keep "dropping" the "all inboxes" and unless he toggles his iCloud mail (which he doesn't even use) on as one of the included folders/accounts, the "all inboxes" never shows. Wondering if this is/was fixed in Beta 6 of WatchOS.

If anyone can shed some light, I'd appreciate it. It's looking like we may be on a weekly release now, and I can only imagine it's just a matter of 1 1/2 months (more or less) before release (I figure based on past releases, around the 2nd week or so of September).

Thanks.
