Me too. I've gone from full to 17% in 12 hours on a Series 5. I was getting almost 2 days before

Similar for me. Before the update I was getting around 4%/hr and now I am getting a drop of about 5.5%/hr. Nothing drastic, but annoying.

I've been conversing with another user about this. Mine drops overnight from 100% charge at 11PM down to about 50% in morning 8 or 9 am) and nothing is running (that I am aware of) and all the watch does is monitor sleep and keep my wrist warm 🙄 I used to be at 79-80% in morning. I have both S5 and S6 and both do same thing. My S5 if shut completely off will be at 85-90% after two months!

I have an S3 and S6 that I rotate so I’m always wearing a watch to monitor sleep (and normal use during the day). I used to be able to go about 24h before swapping watches, but now it seems like I’m swapping every 12h or so. I’ll put on a freshly charged watch at bedtime, and by mid morning I’m getting the 10% warning. Seems to have started after 7.4.

Came here to check if others had this happening as well. I went from 25% per day (7-10pm or so) to 40%.

I just factory reset/restored my watch and will see if that helps.

update: factory reset and restore bright it back to normal after 1 day

OK, here is what I did (only to my S6 so far). First I unpaired watch, then repaired it. I left it on charger to keep 100%. Then I shut down watch plus phone. Then I restarted watch and phone at as close to same time as possible. When I went to bed at 11pm last night it was 100%. This morning at 9:30 it was 82%. That's back to normal. Next I'll do same with my S5.

I'm having the same issue with my Series 4. I charge it before I go to bed, wear it over night, and previously would have 80%+ remaining in the morning. Now it's below 50% by morning and dropping to 10% by the evening. It doesn't quite make it 24 hours on a single charge so I now have to charge it twice a day.

Yep, came to the forums just to see if people were talking about it. I'm down to about 12 hours on a 5 that used to last 24+

Same problem here. It doesn't seem to drain at an even pace either. I've tried the actions suggested by rsfrid. Left it on the charger all night and, so far today since putting it on 6 hours ago, it's down to 34% after a 30 minute workout. This is much worse than usual.

Same problem with my S3. Before I used to get 2+ days of battery life. Performed the 7.4.0 -> 7.4.1 update yesterday around 4pm and took it off the charger with 92% battery left. 18 hours later I am down to 36%, which means its power consumption doubled.

I really don't want to unpair / repair it again, did anyone have any success in addressing this without this step?

After resetting and re-pairing my Series 4 (which took 1 hour), the battery is once again lasting long enough that I only need to charge once a day. But it is still draining faster than it did before this update, and draining unevenly as others have mentioned, so I'm not confident I'll continue getting a full day's use out of one charge per day.

My S4 encountered unusually high battery drain in the days following the update. Finally unpaired/paired it, and it seemed to be better for several days, but suddenly today it's bad again... after about 14 hours of wear I just realized I'm almost at the low battery warning already.

Mine seems to have settled down again without me doing anything at all. Took it off the charger around 12:15pm yesterday at 92%. It drained to 82% when I went to bed and to 66% over night. Maybe all I needed to do is wait 🤷‍♂️

I normally take mine off the charger in the morning at around 8am and then wear it all day and sleep track at night with it, waking up at 7am with around 45%(ish) of battery

Since this latest software update I was getting down to 20-25% by the time I wake up in the morning so something was using more battery.

Then I moved from the GMT face to Countup and I'm back to 40-45% in the morning again. Could be coincidence but also could be something to do with location services on that face or something like that.

How many of you are using the GMT face with this issue?

After resetting and re-pairing my watch I got decent battery life for 3 or 4 days, but today it I got the 10% warning after 19 hours off the charger.

I have had so many issues on my Mac, iPhone, and Watch since the last system updates. I've always updated on the day of the release and never had any real problems before, but I guess now I'm going to be one of those people who warns everyone not to install updates right away

That's unfortunate. Mine was 100% last night at 11pm and right now (6:00 pm) is at 50%. For me unpairing and repairing plus full shut down of both phone and watch then restarting both at same time — that regime helped. Not sure about faces as this whole thing is meaningless if a bunch of changes is required. The watch was fine before the update. It should be fine now.

Seeing the same thing since 7.4.1. Took my watch off the charger and 30 mins later I'm already down 7%. Was riding it out, hoping it would fix itself, but I may need to try the unpair/repair...

Been experiencing exactly the same as reported here with my S6 since the 7.4.1 update. Something has definitely changed. The battery life reduction is drastic. Only thing I can think of that's new is that the Watch can now be used to bypass Face ID if the wearer is wearing a face mask. And that's something that happens countless times throughout the day (hopefully not for long!). So that's my only theory so far. I'm going to try unpairing/repairing and see if that helps.

Following up here: I did the unpair/re-pair yesterday and so far, battery drain rate has renormalized! Granted, I haven't unlocked my phone while wearing a mask much at all since the re-pair, so it's still hard to fully conclude anything regarding that theory yet. If anything changes, I will report back. For now, if you're experiencing this issue, definitely give the unpair/re-pair method a try.
