Is there a way to manually add waypoints to the Compass app on the Apple Watch that aren't simply your current location? I.e. when hiking it would be great to add a waypoint to the app that is the next significant destination on the map. All this seems to do is add waypoints to view that are places you've already been?
I have been looking for the same, but has not found any methods to add a waypoint. It is possible to edit coordinates if you click on longitude or latitude, but even that did not work for me. Please test if this works for you, because it could be related to a bug with my language uses , as decimal separator instead of .

I also tried amended the coordinates but it just showed the pin with a blue back ground. However when I went back to the compass view it showed the correct distance to the waypoint.
This is the first I ever heard of a compass and never knew my series 7 had one. I wonder what else I don't know about. I just put it on and don't really use it much other than for time and setting timers occasionally. That's my uses.
I use the watch a lot for the time, and the occasional texting and using it as a phone. And also the fitness exercises as well. I knew about the compass for at least 2-3 years
just lay an offline map behind the waypoints and you know where to get back. because you cant walk straight through the field.
does the awu support this? garmin does.
