UPDATE: so the third party shop was able to salvage my mac, only one port is damaged. But overall they said i was lucky nothing else was damaged (Keyboard, and touch bar is fine). As far as the crap on Apple goes... I think it's the "we are not even going to try and fix anything, we'll just make a new computer/phone to charge you more" When they could've just cleaned the water damaged and the mac would've been fine (Of course voiding warranty or something)

The shop did warned me i may or may not have problems on the long run. That's something i'll have to live with. So i'll be saving up for a new logic board.

Thank you all!

I used to work for them as a Genius so I know the drill ;). The problem is that they can't return a device to you in a state they can't guarantee (ironic given the crappy state of some of their service parts).

That's why independent shops are normally better for this kinda thing - they can just use some alcohol to clean it off and hope for the best.

To make small claim on house insurance is like making a claim on car insurance. Look out! Next year's bill may hurt.

That depends. The cost of my home insurance did not increase because I had them covering my Macbook, fridge and even my balcony windows. But if I’d crash my car the cost of the car insurance would increase.

I was referring to after having made one or more small claims, not the initial cost.
