When you dropped it in water, what exactly happened and what did you do? Was the phone on? Did it still work when you took it out?

What you should do is immediately turn it off, and then leave it in a bag of rice for several days. If you attempt to turn it on, you pretty much destroyed the phone with no hopes of bringing it back.

Hello,

My iPhone 5s fell into water. After that I put it into a bag filled with dry, white rice and closed the bag. Unfortunately, this procedure didn't help much – I still can't switch the iPhone on. If I connect the iPhone with iTunes, the Apple logo appears but the status bar underneath the logo doesn't proceed (see image). If the iPhone is not connected nothing happens if I try to switch it on.

Is it possible that the problem is that the battery doesn't work anymore? Does it make sense to invest in a new battery?

Does anybody have another idea what I could try?

Thank you very much!

Best regards

Franzik
