I’m not sure this is thread worthy, but since I seem to be unable to find an official WatchOS 9 thread, here it goes.

Today I enabled water lock as I always do but I couldn’t disable it. I thought it was a beta bug, but it seems that if now you have to long press the crown to disable it.
 
Maybe that's a clue that the fall Watches won't have digital crowns.
I thought It might be an accessibility issue for those with manual dexterity issues. Also you can now mirror the watch face to the iPhone so easier to do that via the ‘digital crown’ on the iPhone if that makes sense.

So you no longer turn to disable?

No. Just a long press.

It makes sense to me, I’ve accidentally disabled water lock mode a couple of times when fighting with my kid on the water. I think a long press will be less likely than turning the crown.
