If people think $99 is too high they obviously don't like nice, real leather. If it were made by Hermes and $499 I would be on y'alls side. I like leather, but not that much!
It might be a premium bag, but it is still a cloth bag. It protects the Mini only from dust and scratches. if you are really going to haul the Mini around buy a Pelican case. Then the Mini would survive rolling around in the back of an open pickup truck in the rain. Or being shipped as checked baggage on an airplane.

It might be just me, but considering the price of a MacBook Air which was kinda designed to be trotted around and even comes with a "spare" screen, trackpad and keyboard (and even works without a power outlet for a not so limited amount of time!) .... this kinda feels like one of those things that are good intentioned but poorly thought out.

Waterfield has always been slightly overpriced, too nice, semi-retro - semi-fashion, for new tech. No thanks.

A transport case for the Mac Mini 🤔
What's next ? A rack mount for the MacBook Air?

That’s already there, here is a picture from my barn. My pony sometimes jumps on them and also likes to chew on the ports 😳

Good but very expensive. Not going to spend $100 on a case/bag. Better to buy some other carry bag.

Why does it look like it's 50 years old and has been dug up from the ground. Hideous.

Apparently it's a trending style. People used to get a new leather bag, and having patina as side effects of because they wear it, bang it, and expose it to the elements, just about everyday. Now, you pay premium to get a worn patina pattern out of the box for a sleeve that does nothing but sitting on a nice table in an air-conditioned room. The world has gone crazy indeed.

After more than 15 years traveling with different iterations of the MacBook Air, I found myself having my latest MBA in clamshell mode hooked to a monitor, keyboard and mouse at my studio 90-95% of the time.

Instead of going for a very expensive MBP that would be almost always working as a desktop, I decided to revert roles and bought a maxed out M4 Pro Mac Mini, which is now small enough to come along the 5-10% of the time I'm traveling (I also got a usb-c portable monitor to come with it). So far the setup is working great when on the move.

I just don't see myself spending $100 for a bag for it, I do like WaterField bags, etc. but there are $15-$20 alternatives on Amazon already for the new Mac Mini.
I’ve been thinking about the same, what monitor did you get?

Or... You know, buy a laptop.
The annoying thing about laptops is that they ship with a keyboard, a trackpad and a screen that I'm not going to use. On the other hand, the Mac mini doesn't have a battery. For now, there is no ideal portable Mac computing experience.

Donno.. like kinda ugly to me.. and definitely overpriced

But hey ho.. I guess there might be a market for it.
