Welcome 1984 and THX-1138... Elegant my foot! No more personality... monotone and dead... nice... uniform look.

Horrible absolutely horrible...

You obviously haven't been paying attention for the past few years. Go look at a gallery of Apple's current product lineup. Uniformity is everywhere. It's their trade mark design ethos and has been like that for a while.

Don't forget Steve Jobs was a minimalist who wore exactly the same clothes every day so he didn't have to think about what to wear. I would bet that Jony Ive has the same thought process.

"Personality" as you put it means diversity and complexity. I don't want that. My life is complicated enough. I want to pick up any Apple device and instantly know how to use it. I want simplicity. That's why people buy multiple Apple products, because they work seamlessly together.

Haven't seen an article for a long time that passed the 1000 comments haha, but to be honest I still don't understand what the people all were talking here haha...

Kind of reminds me of BMW's naming scheme. Even though they don't have cars with those names, but you know what I mean.

Yes I know what you mean. Apple and BMW are very similar. They are both aspirational brands. Both design led with emphasis on simple, elegant products. Both at the forefront of new technology. etc. Also Audi has a similar naming system to.

I see that the cat is gone and aqua is still there. It's still 10 and not 11. But also the wave indicates something new coming.

Didn't the universe background come with time machine? I think TM was a pretty awesome new feature.

That would be Latin. The Ancient Romans spoke Latin.
They don't call them "Latin" numerals. do they?

----------

Ten would be decem if you spoke Latin. Pronounced deck-em.
I meant the "X" would only be a numeral to a Roman.

They both promise things they are incapable of delivering.

Os x 10.9

Whatever Apple does with 10.9, let's hope they release an OS that doesn't suck especially on my rMBP! Let's hope these ******s Apple engineers also release a version of Safari that works flawlessly. I don't bother about all this iOS **** being ported to OS X anymore!

Point taken... Still I don't like over simplified lately when it comes to Apple, that also means strict limitations I don't feel comfortable with. But, hey an iPod still rules the world and I do love it.

However I do hate the new Nano's... not much nano over them anymore and besides, I loved the clip on feature... Ah... it's just not the same for me anymore. After having worked for Apple for so many years, not only do you start hating the color blue, but everything is the same and time flies.

Everybody has been so focused on the waves/water, but what about the clouds (which are overshadowed by the waves)? Perhaps an insight to an even more "Cloud" based OS X? (That is of course if the banner image really has some relation to the new OS).

John saw the beast "rise up out of the sea, having seven heads and ten horns" (Revelation 13:1-10)

iOS 7 + OS X

It's probably just a coincidence. You can read anything into anything....
