It looks to be 7200 rpms. I picked one up. Waiting for someone to tell me what's wrong with it.

Uh, folks...read some reviews on WD external drives. A lot of them say the things are really slow, in spite of the claimed rpm. I've found that to be my experience too, and I'm sorry I bought the thing. I shoulda spent a little more for a Seagate or LaCie.
