Yes, if they were planning to add it later, you would think they would mention that it is coming to the old AppleTV.
I wouldn't find it strange at all if they weren't putting it on Android. Are they saying that Android is a better platform than the device Apple is selling now?

You have to think that Apple Music in android is also a means to get android users to switch to iPhone as I'm 100% sure that the iOS experience will be better then the android app which has to work with 100 different phones
I'm not sure why people think they'll add it later to the old Apple TV, same people waiting on Siri on the iPhone 4

Once again, Siri is not a good comparison. It is only on iOS and was free with the purchase of a new iPhone. Apple Music needs subscribers, it isn't free, and it will be on Android (their main competitor).
By putting Apple Music on Android, it actually insures that less people will switch. Think about the family plan. A dad has an iPhone, mom has an iPhone, daughter has an iPhone, and son has an Android. If they wanted to sell more iPhones, I think it would be more beneficial to make the kid switch to be able to take advantage of the family plan pricing model.

why wouldn't u wanna listen to music on your TV... we do with everything else.

Yet another reason I remain unconvinced to shell out $149 minimum. Besides being made by Apple, I can't really see how the new Apple TV is better than the Roku 4, Fire TV or my Xbox for that matter. I think for right now I will be sitting this one out. I honestly use my Apple TV only for Movie trailers and podcasts these days.

Thing is, unless you use much of Apples services, It's not any better or worse really. For some it's good, for others, not so much.
I like it because I get all of my iTunes Purchases on it, I subscribe to Apple Music so that's there. I use iCloud for Photos so they are all there, it works flawlessly with my Mac, our iPhones and our iPads.
There will be lots of games and apps on it that appeal to me and my family and in some cases these will be free upgrades to games and apps I have already paid for, so it's like getting free stuff. It's a joy to use, so simple, fluid and intuitive and I really like the remote. It's not going to replace any of my consoles for gaming, but it will be a nice little addition to them.
I could probably waffle on, but you get the point, it suits me very well, but it wont suit everyone else.

I do use Apple Services and I agree that it all would work well with Mac, iPhone, and iPad but I am unsure that it is really worth it. I guess I will wait and see.

I don't think the service is broke. I would have stuck with one of the competitors if that was the case.
Siri, on this platform, could be a great feature if it works the same as the iPhone. You just sit down, turn on your receiver and tell Siri what to play. I hope that it will not require a TV on while playing music, unless, of course, the user wants the TV on.

I wonder if you can pull music off your Mac's iTunes or will you HAVE to use the paid Music Library service (included with Apple Music and iTunes Match)???

There should be on option to switch accounts for the entire system, as I might want TV apps at the top of the list while the kids might want games. I'd also like for all settings and game data saved per user. I've never thought it would be useful on the phone, and barely useful on an iPad, but on the TV, since usually there is one main TV shared by everyone, account switching is a must.
