So that means we shouldn't be thankful? So what if they send the same letters out. It's doesn't change the fact that the donations are making people's lives better!

It's all relative. I'd bet that kid is happier today than any of us. It's nice your sister helps like that.

Zuctly, I also think that if you gave someone like that an iPad then it really wouldn't be much good.
I say this because I have family in abject poverty abroad. They get water from a well, have little to no electricity (can't afford the bills so they "borrow" it). They'd have no use in any of my old electronics.

I am thankful of the world we live in. It's messy and cluttered but once you find a little peace it's all quite lovely.
