Hi,

I really would like a web browser on my Apple TV, especially if I get a HomePod. It doesn’t seem Apple will do one or allow an app any time soon, if ever. I have seen one you can add via Xcode. Is there various versions out there? Can anyone recommend one over the other? Are there any security implications?

Thanks

If there is one that you can side load through Xcode, it'd likely use a WebKit web view. i.e. it'd be like running Safari (backend only). I haven't checked if that's actually in the AppleTV SDK, but I'd assume it is for various smaller use cases inside apps, and therefore I'd assume that's the way it'd be used. For that reason, it'd be pretty much as secure as Safari on iOS.

But I don't know of any web browser project for TV. I'm just making logical assumptions :)
