Just 10 days until Christmas, so it's time for your finest Holidays pictures again – but not just your regular kind! Include something which wouldn't fit the usual Holiday cliches. Santa is a skeleton? Or surfing in shorts? Or both? The Christmas tree is an oak adorned with superhero ornaments? The nativity scene has alien visitors? Your creativity shall know no bounds!
  • The photographs must be your own work. No AI generated images.
  • You may only submit one photo per contest.
  • No commenting or liking photos until after the judging has taken place.
  • This contest runs for about a week, starting now.
  • At the end of the competition, the judge (last week's winner) will choose a 1st, 2nd and 3rd place photo, providing as much feedback as possible.
  • The 1st place winner will start a new thread here with the topic/theme of their choice, and act as the judge for that contest. (Winner has 48 hours to create new theme, after that it defers to 2nd place).
  • Be sure to update the Contest Master List as soon as you post a new theme.
  • Contest will end December 22, 2025 at 12.00 (noon) CET

Last year's school Christmas production...

The contest is closed for entries. I'll post the results later today.

Well, I have to admit I had hoped for more entries, but so be it.

@cjsuk The Grim Reaper at a Christmas play? Now I'm curious! That the Reaper only visible as silhouette makes him appear even creepier.

@_timo_redux_ The Redeemer was a cat? What are the theological implications of that?

@goldmac2006 Frostie the Snow… horse… butt. That's certainly an original and funny idea. Is that a window of a shoe store?

@C0ncreteBl0nde Marvel and DC superheroes peacefully united for the occasion. The business card in the bottom right serves as a reminder that not everyone has a Merry Christmas or can be with the loved ones for the Holidays.

Okay, so here's the ranking purely based on my personal opinion:

3rd place: shared by @_timo_redux_ and @C0ncreteBl0nde

2nd place: @goldmac2006

1st place: @cjsuk

Over to you, @cjsuk, for the Holiday edition of our little contest.

Yes it was from a storefront of the las Vegas Hermes shop. I liked how they used their branding mascot of horses 🐴 to mix into the holiday season.

😂 it’s funny they put the snowman face on the horses rear. Thanks for the laugh out loud and 2nd place!

Ha wasn't expecting that. This was my youngest's Christmas school play, A Christmas Carol. One of the kids got really enthused about being DEATH (Pratchett style) and took the job rather seriously. This ended up a long and gruesome massacre. I don't remember reading that in the book. Parents were either laughing their heads off or completely horrified.

@goldmac2006 I love yours - I have no idea what the hell is going on but I love it 🤣

New competition coming... I'm out for the rest of the day, and about 4 cocktails in, but will think of something for the morning!

Found that it fits perfectly with the theme so I decided to try that one for the photo contest. Especially since I never seen snowmen shaped as animals before
