New week, new contest, new theme. I have chosen "refreshing water" as the theme.

As it gets pretty hot outside whats more to enjoy then some refreshing water - either to drink (also in cocktail form :D ) , to watch (fountains) , to bath in or in whatever form water is a refreshment for you on a hot summer day.

Enjoy the theme and have fun with it!

Rules:
  • The photographs must be your own work.
  • Be creative and have fun.
  • You may only submit one photo per contest.
  • Please do not comment on photos until after the judging has taken place.
  • The contest runs for one week, starting NOW! (see time/date stamp at the start of this thread.)
  • At the end of the week, The Judge (last week's Winner) will choose a 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place photo, providing as much feedback as possible.
  • The 1st place Winner will start a new thread with the topic/theme of their choice, and act as the Judge for that contest. (Winner has 48 hours to create new theme, after that it defers to 2nd place).
This contest will close on July 8th 1pm CET (sharp) as I will be very busy on the weekend starting that Friday.

Here we go....

I'm also not getting out this week. I have spent every weekend of the last 2 months either traveling or "celebrating the joys of home ownership." I guess it's my fault for putting off so many tasks for so many years.

Duly noted.
Nevertheless, the rules must be in accordance with the nature of this site, i.e. Forum ("An Internet forum, or message board, is an online discussion site where people can hold conversations in the form of posted messages...").
Good luck to all of you!

Once the contest closes and the judging is complete, feel free to comment all you wish. The "internet forums" rules still apply, but the photo contest threads here at MR have added this additional restriction. We wouldn't want to influence the judging now, would we? :D

We would all agree with this, but the goal is not to influence the judging. The discussion following the judging is often very rich.

Might not be refreshing water but there is a lot of it. This was taken in mid December and there was this odd mist/fog that started a couple of hundred feet off shore and just washed everything out.

Where in Jersey. I grew up in Philadelphia and we spent a lot of time down the Shore. That was before casinos when Atlantic City was still a nice place to be -- a lot like the way Cape May is now but much bigger.
