It's a Mac forum so let's see a photograph taken with an iPhone :apple:. I guess a cellphone camera of any brand is okay :p. I'll leave the subject choice up to you.

    · The photographs must be your own work.

    · Be creative and have fun.

    · You may only submit one photo per contest.

    · Please do not comment on photos until after the judging has taken place.

    · The contest runs for a week and starts now!

    · At the end of the week, last week’s winner will choose a 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place photo, providing as much feedback as possible.

    · If the winner is unable to complete the selection within 48 hours of the deadline for close, then a vote will be carried out to select a winner. This will be based on the number of "likes" each image has. In the event of a draw, the second place winner from the previous week will choose the tiebreaker.

    · The 1st place winner will start a new thread with the topic/theme of their choice, and act as the judge for that contest. (Winner has 48 hours to create new theme, after that it defers to 2nd place).

    · Please update the Weekly Contest Master List when you post a new contest.

I look forward to seeing your best cellphone pics!

I use my iPhone X to capture photos when I don't have my main camera with me.

This was in a low light situation.

I don't shoot with my phone very much for good photos. But I did take one last week when I was dazzled by the light and only had my phone.

Given all of my pictures are from iPhone anyway, I’m struggling to find a shot good enough to upload here.

This one is a personal reminder of one of my best experiences of hiking in the Lake District with unpredictable weather that changed from sunny to almost no visibility closer to the summit. Temperature was well below zero at this point and the ice and snow made it worse because I kept on slipping due to the steep ridges. I have a video as well if anyone is interested.

    Hi mollyc,
Could you choose a favorite between your two great entries?
I realize that we have a dearth of entries this week so far and could use all the entries we can get but ...
    Rules :D

Oh!!! The flower one was posted to the wrong thread! It was my POTD the other day. I'll go remove it because it was definitely NOT taken with my iPhone!

    Sorry.

No problem, I figured it was something like that.
I got to bump this thread before the weekend so ...

(May replace it as gate was at very end and this was the only angle available)

IMG_0086.jpg Straight outta my XR. Only edit was to reduce file size.

Reduce file size?! I’ve never tried to do that before uploading. Any particular reason for that?

Courtesy for the site (since they host all the data), for those on lesser systems, and mobile users. My own experience has been that one page of photos here can get pretty slow on an iPad or iPhone.

One area where iPhone beats DSLR is the ease of shooting panoramas.

Last day to enter your pic!
I'm planning to close it up to entries at 7pm EST tonight.
I expect to have winners and comments finished by 9am EST tomorrow morning (hopefully earlier tonight).
    Good luck,
    Ed

I'm not using my iPhone much for taking pictures, but here's one a few decent ones:

Easily forgotten, but it makes setting up a new thread much easier.
The master list is editable for everyone.
