Moving Water.

There is plenty you can do here:- waterfalls; creeks and rivers; waves; the sea in general or even just a tap. Freeze the action or blur it with a longer shutter speed. Or you may want to try a bit of both. Most importantly, have fun. I'm looking forward to seeing what you all come up with.

As always, standard rules apply:
  • The photographs must be your own work.
  • You may only submit one photo per contest.
  • No commenting or liking photos until after the judging has taken place.
  • This contest runs for about a week, starting now.
  • At the end of the competition, the judge (last week's winner) will choose a 1st, 2nd and 3rd place photo, providing as much feedback as possible.
  • The 1st place winner will start a new thread here with the topic/theme of their choice, and act as the judge for that contest. (Winner has 48 hours to create new theme, after that it defers to 2nd place).
  • Be sure to update the Contest Master List as soon as you post a new theme.
Contest closes 7 days later, May 22th at Noon, Central Australian Time.

For my contest “shallow DOF” I sent private message to 2 people, they both removed their like quickly.

Yea can you do that for those guys too? They treat it like POTD or other photo threads, mods ain't allowed to remove reactions afaik bout that

Sorry not clear, as it was my contest I sent to the 2 members (not mods) who hit “like”, they self removed and apologized, suggest @richardallan do same.

Got it. I meant that moderation team cannot remove other people’s likes. 👍

The users have to do it themselves so yep these two dudes better take it down. Keep all liking to a minimum and refrain from doing that until it’s over, y’all!

I was one of the guilty persons. A PM or a message in the thread both work. Every weekly contest there's someone who forgets which thread he/she is in. 'Mollying' in tech-speak.
it’s my specialty!

i also don’t think we need to harp on it. a reminder is sufficient. i doubt that any of us who have hosted have been swayed by random like on a photo or two.
