UPDATE & SOLUTION: after scrubbing the MacBook body hard a few times with a rag and Isopropyl alcohol, the keyboard area and body of my machine appear to solve the issue. sharing in case others find this thread in the future.
I refused to give up, so I tried one final m3 air machine and scrubbed the crap out of it, and the body is now much 'smoother to the touch', and the taste and sensations have gone down 98%.
to be honest, I think everyone should consider doing this, you don't know if these new machine chemicals are actually safe or not.
