More specifically, after seeing some screen comparison reviews, are any of you 11” users regretting not going mini led?

I got an order on the 128gb 11” pro, still feeling good about my choice. Not going for this as a laptop replacement and will spend most of its time out of the house. Portability was a bigger deal and I think the lcd pro screens still look amazing

Ordered a 11" and then canceled because I'm undecided...I had a 10.5 for a while and I while I think that's the ideal iPad size, I really want the better screen because I do more consumption than anything on a tablet. But...gonna mull it over. Prob will order the 12.9 and see if it's ultimately too heavy/big.

I am sticking with my 11”. Part of that is a bit of a gamble though as I am hoping beyond hope this is the year that we get proper external monitor support and that would make a larger XDR support less of a big deal for me. I would rather invest that difference in price in a nice monitor.
If we don’t get external monitor support I am not really bothered though. I have worked on an 11” before without issue.

None. Have a 12.9 Cellular 256 GB coming, my two questions were 1)Weight and size of 12.9 vs. 11” going to my wife (not 2021 specific) and 2)Should I have grabbed a few more dollars from my wallet for the 1TB to get the 16 GB…answer nope.

Honestly, only decision I’m questioning/regretting is not getting the white keyboard even though logically I know it would be an ugly mess after 1 week. I”m in a different position…went to iPad Pro as main device in March of last year, do not regret. Was a learning curve, but pros outweighs the cons. Still have Mac Pro when/if needed. Giving my wife the 2020 11” as the real-estate was just too small. Getting M1, Mini-LED, etc. all bonus for me. Heck of a device.

Nope! My order is still on its way!

They confirmed my decision to order a 2020 12.9” discounted from Costco. With my usage, I don’t think that the M1/XDR would make a noticeable difference.

The reviews didn’t really add much to what we had already considered on the forums.

Only ‘regret’ I’m feeling… have a bit of YouTube envy, because the 12.9” is getting all the [justifiable] attention! All the reviews show the 11” off to the side like some super-hero sidekick! My 11” silver 512 is in the mail, and should get here tomorrow 21th. I do feel I’m missing out on the XDR viewing experience (to edit photos and watch movies), but I just can’t see myself carrying it around, or maybe I have to beef the arms up and get a larger carry bag ;-) But… if I really can’t live without that large and beautiful screen, I’ve got a 12.9” on order, would come in 3-weeks if I don’t cancel, and only 256GB to even out the cost a bit (still about $150 more than the 11” 512 which gives me the storage option I prefer). iPP 11” is the perfect size, 12.9” has THAT screen. Please someone tell me the 11” screen is still really great… ;-)

Nope. Sticking with my 11" since I really have no interest watching movies on my iPad. That's what my OLED TV is for. However, I wouldn't mind having microLED (not miniLED) in the next iteration.

Negative. The 11 is the sweet spot for my lap on the recliner, or under my arm while carrying a cup of coffee and last nights leftovers out to my pickup to head to work.

The 12.9 might get added later. But I’m not going to wait in line for one anytime soon.

No. The screen looks fantastic on the 12.9. I’m only more fired up after the reviews. I’ve never had the large sized iPad and I’m looking forward to the novelty. I am pairing it with an iPad Mini 5 and a MacBook Pro M1. The mini for books and browsing in bed and for quick trips combined with the iPad Pro for heavier lifting and video content should be fun. I look forward to implementing some changes to how I manage my work work and side work (MBP vs iPP, business vs creative). I also just want to watch some beautiful HDR content.

Seeing the white MK in the reviews makes it tempting. It’s for sure going to show wear and tear much worse than the dark one. I’m kind of relieved my previous generation MK will work supposedly fine with the 2021 iPP saving me $350 and having to decide whether or not to get the white one.

IMO the MK is a pretty ridiculously expensive accessory, but nothing else comes close. The magnetic stand and adjustable hinge work great and feel good. The USB C port on the MK to charge the iPad freeing up the built in port is a really nice touch.

I have a feeling I might regret going with 8 GB of RAM after WWDC. I'll have to beg Apple to let me exchange the iPad if that happens lol.
Yeah, the save will probably be that they most likely won’t release iPad OS 15 until September. I won’t feel that bad about selling the iPad and getting the 16 GB version then, if I feel the need to of course.

One of the things i'm OCD about in 1000€+ device is backlight bleed.
This is why usually i order few products and compare them. In 2018 MBP 15" i wasn't happy at all with the quality. It's so random and also has multiple factors to it. For example, shipping can also make it worse.

Video bellow makes me SUPER happy i spent the money for 12.9. 100% worth it for this reason alone.

None at all , especially since I'm selling my 2020 12.9 for 750/eu and just putting the small difference towards the newest one , videos have clarified the whole magic keyboard situation and everything is gucci :)

I'd get Apple Care+ on the device.

I don't live in the US and in here (Finland) you can get extensions to your home insurance to cover accidental damage etc.

I have done that and in year it's 10€ more. soo....... ;)
I don't know exact numbers how much AC+ costs here, but it isn't cheap for sure.
