I really don't mind all the leaks. To me, I can read all I want and see all the leaked pics, but it's really different when Apple presents them in the keynote and in their promo videos on their websites. When they say "you haven't seen it like this", I have to agree. The iPhone 5C looked like crap in the rumor pics, but looked pretty awesome the way Apple presented it.

But in terms of not revealing anything, I think Apple did pretty well with iOS 7, and probably everything that happens inside Cupertino.

I didn't here any rumors about the M7 chip. I think that was a well kept secret.

And that matters how?

M7 is just an APPLE product name.

It's like LG coming out with a L8. What is it? The smae ol' chip.

Sam with the M7. Better than a Samsung chip?

Does look pretty bad when they said "you've seen this before" during the unveiling. If Steve was still around heads would have rolled.

I hate posts like this. With Apple expanding manufacturing and more companies producing components it's a given that there's a higher chance of leaks. And I love leaks!

Leaks still would have happened if Jobs was alive.

The whole "double down on secrecy" is only fair when you apply it to products that are developed and used in apple and only by apple employees, for instance iOS 7 was kept secret pretty well.

How on earth does Tim Cook control millions of Chinese workers who all have the possibility of snapping a picture of the assembly line.

Well he could..but then the media will go ape***** about apple's labor policy

These, "Steve would have..." references are getting tiresome. Jobs himself joked about the famous stolen "Bar iPhone" during his keynote.

Let him go already.

I don't know why people seem to think that nothing ever leaked when Jobs was still in charge. Every iPhone (except for the first one that announced 6 months before it launched) has leaked before the keynote! And that's 4 iPhones (counting the 4S). Apple didn't magically become an entire different company now that Jobs is gone.

Yes I think Apple did a decent job on secrecy. B-

Typical Apple Haters on this web site. Apple releases the first in the WORLD 64 Bit chip for a mobile device AND developer tools that let a flagship 5 star game be ported to 64 bit by one person in under 2 hours and "64 bit is no big deal". Good Lord.

Apple will never be innovative to these fools until they release a phablet of 6" or more.:rolleyes::rolleyes::rolleyes::rolleyes::rolleyes:

It matters because its a new piece of hardware that was never rumored, that I know of. The rest of your post makes absolutely no sense
