Nope. If you buy the phone outright you'll be paying a monthly subsidy regardless. They want to get you off that plan.

Which is why I'm amazed they haven't just shut the plan down altogether lol. It's an amazing plan for those who are still on it. I have many regrets.

I wouldn't be surprised if they shut it down soon. I believe that it's lasted this long because it was actually a 5GB plan with throttling after, but now it's been bumped up to 22GB.

They're giving people the option to sign two year agreements in these plans, so at least for them, it's unlikely att shuts the plan down in less time.

Because full price is cheaper (for you) in the long run. Paying the next installments over the next 1 or 2 years will cost you more that if you buy out right and sell once you want a new phone.

I'm not on the Next plan though. I have a reservation to pick up a 6s+ on launch day at the Apple store. I didn't pre-order. I am assuming that Apple doesn't offer any subsidized pricing, correct? I'll have to pay full price?

What? That's true only if you do the trade in. Otherwise, Next is a 0% financing contract. Same price as buying outright.

They aren't going to shut it down. They probably would get sued for doing it.

Maybe next time I'll look at getting another iPhone subsidized and sell that and order the new one outright.

I got a cancelation email from Apple today for a 6s+. They claim they never got a response from AT&T about my upgrade eligibility so they cancelled the preorder. Of course both companies claim they are not at fault and neither is willing to do anything about it.

Apple did not offer AT&T upgrades through its website. The only place to pre-order online with an upgrade subsidy was AT&T.

Tons of tracking numbers going out for ALL carriers and models. There's only one model/carrier that hasn't shipped out yet. That's the 6S+ who ordered through att.com

Not true. I ordered 6s plus through apple and have not been given my tracking number. I had to find it through UPS reference search and it's still on time. Apple may not have the info but I'm watching the progress anyway.

Heard a rumor that the AT&T store in my area does not have one rose gold plus in stock as of tonight. Not one in any size. There are some of the 6S Rosegold but not the plus. There are a few plus sizes in other colors but not many
