Curious... have a feeling a lot of people these days don't. Suspicious about all these people saying "Mac Oh Ess Ex" to me instead of "Mac Oh Ess Ten."

Yeh, i knew OS 9 before it was a 'classic':D

Many of our new intel recruits probably don't know that Mac OS hasn't always been this pretty!:p

and, oh, yeah... the correct pronunciation is Mac Osss Exxxx.

Im new to Mac but I rember 9.0 from Elementary and Middle School. Wasn't nearly as pretty as OS X. I even rember 8.5 from elementary school. Those were the good old days. lol.

I still use OS 9 on one of my computers at work (G3).

makes you appreciate X though. ;)

I just sold an ols Powerbook 5300 with System 7.5 on it on ebay. I found the thing buried in the attic. Oldly enough it still worked and someone actually bought it for $30.

Sure do. I'm 21 and my first Mac was at age 4. I can probably remember and use every Mac up to this point. I was the only one in my family who popped in that Mac OS 10.0 CD and learned what the OS was about. Man was it pointless but sure was pretty :).

I started with 6 at school. I certainly wasn't Mac knowledgeable back then, but I do remember wondering why MultiFinder was missing from one of the machines I used (it turned out that it was running 7).

Back when I was in 2nd grade which was about 1995-1996, our school still had the old Apple II's for the younger students. I rember the green monotone screen and the big old floppy disks. And I rember they also did NOT have a mouse. lol.
