Are you noticing the screen distortion gate boloney on the right side? Or normal use is fine?

I think there are only a very small percentage of people with this issue. My screen is perfect with no issues at all. :)

I upgraded from air to air 2 also. Very pleased. Thinness is significant and the screen looks way better. I haven't really been able to put to down.

How's your #distortionwhileholdinggate?

I can't seem to replicate that issue. Don't see any of the flaws discussed in this forum. Then again, half the people on here are crazy. It's laughable to read the threads whenever Apple releases something new.

Hmm

Ok. Can you pull some strings with your Apple contacts and ask them when the hell can I buy this thing in Thailand ?

Ok. Bare with me here. I think I'm going crazy! I keep thinking I can spot a dead pixel right at the top left of my screen where it meets the bezel. Sometimes I see it but when I stare at it I can't! Might be OCD gone made! I've taken a pic with brightness full up. Can any of you spot anything? Cheers. ImageUploadedByTapatalk1414337015.672363.jpg

Air to Air 2 was a much bigger difference than I expected. Fluidity of UI, thinness, and display upgrade (optically bonded panel and anti reflection) sound minimal but are quite the upgrade.

I'm debating whether I should upgrade my air to air 2. 2gb of ram is really tempting for me and not to mention the thinness

May I suggest that you sell the iPad Air and get the Air 2.
2gb Ram may not be fully utilised as yet, such as for split screen capabilties, but Air 2 is future ready in that regard.
However if you don't want to go to the trouble of having to sell your iPad Air and if you're happy with it's performance with 1gb of RAM then I would suggest to wait untl a significant price drop or until iPad Air 3 is announced.

If you're the type to upgrade every 3-5 years then I'd agree that the Air 2 is the model to get, but if you're going to sell last year's model then what's the point? Just hold on to it and sell when the Air 3, 4, or 5 comes out. They'll be even more "future proof" and there might be an even better longevity model out at that point.

Same boat and couldn't be happier. Great speed improvement and feels better in the hands. Amazing how the small details can really change a device. Definitely loving the thinness.

i don't get why people say "future proofing", ipad 3/4 still runs as good as day 1....i can bet that you will upgrade ur ipad b4 it shows any sign of lag/choke.

These same people will sing the song come november 2015 when the successor ipad device is introduced!!!

I am also a very happy iPad Air 2 user. I don't plan on putting any case for it, just the Apple Smart Cover.

I added AppleCare + for just a piece of mind.

Well worth the money.

:apple:

Got the official Apple leather case today. Btw, what do you guys have the brightness set at? Mine seems too bright at even half way.

Brightness: I've noticed that too. I usually kept my Air1 set to about 40% or so but the same level on my Air2 seems too bright. I'm down to 30-35%.

Just echoing the theme of this thread. I test drove the iPad Air plenty of times enough to feel like I've owned one, and the Air 2 is a real delight from the previous model. It really does feel like you're directly touching the pixels.

Maybe if they are still running an old OS but my 3 is pretty bad and laggy runny on iOS 8. Im not sure about upgrading after one year but the A8X is leagues ahead of the A5X in the 3's.

Has anyone ever bought AppleCare off eBay? What's the deal? Seen it for a 3rd of price from Apple.

Love the Air2. Bought the r mini last year never could get comfortable with it. The only mistake I made this time was buying the wifi only. Wife convinced me that I didn't need the LTE version. First time I didn't buy a cellular. Kept it for 18 hours and returned it for the LTE. LOL. What I find interesting is, both models were perfect. It's hard to believe all the issues that come up on these forums. Just saying.........

Just opened my iPad air 2.... Mine is perfect no issues with screen.
I realized there is no mute switch button on the side.

How can I get this iPad to go into mute mode .. Does it even vibrate can't get the vibrate to work...

The mute is now where you "swipe up". Not a big problem, I'm used to it now.
