I use pi-hole. Install it on a $40 Raspberry Pi and run DNS resolution through the Pi. Ads disappear and pages load and execute faster and use less memory.

Does the one purchase cover all the devices, or is the Mac and iOS version separate purchases?I am very pleased with Wipr on both my MBA, iPhone and iPad
Make sure your blocklist is up to date, because I'm not seeing ads on MacRumorsWell, not very impressed with Wipr. £1.99 from the App Store and I'm seeing banner ads on this website.

Anyone want to offer an alternative again? I don't mind paying, but I don't like the subscription model of AdGuard Pro. Maybe 1Blocker?

I rarely get ads with 1Blocker. I pretty much never see ads on MacRumors.Well, not very impressed with Wipr. £1.99 from the App Store and I'm seeing banner ads on this website.

Trying 1Blocker now, and it seems pretty good so far. I like the premium options of being able to block specific page elements too.I rarely get ads with 1Blocker. I pretty much never see ads on MacRumors.
Also it's really simple, no need to configure at all except click the automatic refresh buttonI'm currently using Wipr and I like it. It's not configurable as other blocker nor it shows stats or fancy things, but has one feature that for me is an absolute requirement: it does not ask for permissions to access/view/snoop/wathever web traffic.

Same using the Adguard, it runs in Safari as an extension and does the job pretty well.I am using Adguard for a while now on all of my Apple devices and it is working well.
Compared to some other adblockers (eg Adblock Plus), Adguard definitely blocks the most (which is good).
On the Mac it is free, on my mobile devices I am using the Pro version of Adguard.
I like 1Blocker and have been very pleased with it. I did the one time purchase for $24 for all devices.Well, not very impressed with Wipr. £1.99 from the App Store and I'm seeing banner ads on this website.

Sadly, it fails a lot of times... it really does.Am I the only one on the planet still using Ghostery?
These are the Permission requirements for iBlock Origin in Firefox; On Windows I use Firefox + uBlock Origin, both mature and opensource, and can be safely trusted.
I don't dabble in Cryptocurrency so I ignore all references to it and I have not opted into the BAT reward system either, it's optional after all. I understand their focus but they are not highjacking anything of mine.Who in their right mind uses Brave Browser?

Ghostery is primarily a Tracker Blocking service and as such does its job very well but it is not an ad blocker.Sadly, it fails a lot of times... it really does.
