I say keep the touch and be happy. Save the money and get a cool car when you're 16 or something big down the road.

lol by cool car you mean a **** box?
i dont think youll be saving anything if you looking at a decent car by not getting an iphone
hell youll be better off telling him to simply not buy anything he wants for the next few years, then that will make the difference

You're 14 and were already given a Touch? Why would your folks even consider getting you an iPhone?

Until you start making your own money, I don't believe in "Just because I want it".

kid just ask your parents
people opinion here will confuse more; some yes and some no

i can see much of these opinion comes from the individuals ethics and guessing how they were raise

Well, I guess that along you're doing good in school, have proven to be responsible enough to take care of an expensive gadget like the iPhone, and know well what your priorities are, then get it. If you family can afford it, and you show that you're responsible, then why not??

If you've got an iPod Touch then why do you want an iPhone? It will just get stolen or you'll drop it. Seriously, just get a normal basic mobile, it's your first one after all.

Clearly your parents have enough money to spoil you so why not? You won't be any different than the other kids with flashy items. Make sure you request a new sportscar when you get your drivers license--Dad will need to start setting aside the money for that now. As you get older you'll need more and more material things to feel important and cool, hope you're going into medicince or law.
