Always been a feature, annoying if you have kids that know how to take 10 pics a second

Activation lock.

Dont use it, dont know what it is

Do Not Disturb working when phone is unlocked.

My phone is always locked unless I'm using it, why would I have DND?

Automatic updates.

I thought that was standard before

No idea what it is, sounds like something a phone doesn't need

FaceTime Audio.

Facetime is useless at best

Flickr and Vimeo integration.

Sounds like more trendy nonsense that grown ups dont need

New system sounds.

I use custom

Bilt in flashlight and level.

Had that before

Traffic information for frequent locations in notification center.

Wate of battery power and internet usage

Separate FaceTime app.

That's in addition to things like Control Center (which helps usability and productivity beyond simply offering shortcuts) as well as redesigned Safari (as well as some other apps) that is somewhat faster and easier to use.

control centre options are too easily switched off or on when opening or closing making it not so useful.

And various other features that tons of iOS 7 articles discuss.

More stuff I dont use.... No real benefit to a serious business user.

Honestly, once you use iOS 7 it's hard to go back to iOS 6 because it looks so dated.

No it's not, not even a little bit.

Every time I use my daughters iPod touch I kick my self for upgrading then waiting to long to try and go back. I'll never say to my self "give it time to grow on you"

Control Center, smarter Siri, photos and camera apps, AirDrop, multitasking is smarter, fit more apps in folders, Notification Center redesign for better or worse, blacklisting numbers, off the top of my head. Dig around the iOS 7 pages on apple.com if you're interested any more.
I've got a watch on my wrist
seriously? ...it took working with a teenager that said "you have a cell phone in your pocket that tells the time, what do you need a watch for?"

There is so much more you can do and do better with iOS 7, but, these guys say "AirDrop" hey now, iPhone 4S can't do AirDrop, has to be iPhone 5 or better guys :p

well, I like the convenience of control panel, and so many things make it more functional, if this is not true for you, well, I'd say go back to iOS 6, but you can't. However, iOS 7 brings a new lockout feature which is helpful if you lose or iPhone is stolen, and 7.0.3 adds iCloud keychain, which is another convenience feature. Here: http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2013/10/09/ios-7-features_n_4059355.html

I just got the 5s and I actually miss closing all the processes by just tapping the x button repeatably as the apps shift to the left. Is there a faster way that I don't know about in iOS 7 because I find it slower to swipe up one by one. Sometimes the swipe doesn't even register and the screen just moves side to side.

Why do you close apps? I never have a need to do that. Just curious.

General running i never close anything, never see the need to do it and have no issues from using it that way. Only time i've closed apps is if they've crashed, hung, packed up in some way.

So basically a bunch of stuff you had misconceptions about, didn't understand or know about, or just personally don't care about using. So perhaps to you even the fist iteration if iOS is mostly filled with stuff you won't really care for. That's fine. But it doesn't mean there weren't any improvements or anything new that was added (that a whole lot of other people find useful).

Believe it or not, I dont need to plug my watch in every night to recharge it (it solar, so never had to change the battery either, it goes to sleep and had power saving when the charge is low). If you are doing physical work then it's not always convenient to find you phone and press the button.

Bingo! 3 main functions for me, phone (a much overlooked feature these days), sms, and email. Everything else is extra. I think most forget that the primary functions and what we pay the mobile companies for every month.

Camera is occasionally used, though not the best as a camera. I've the new maps are sometimes useful when driving.

Some game apps for boredom when travelling, or shazam.

Even looking at the other stuff, there's bugger all difference between IOS6 and IOS7 to the average user.

I also use a macbook pro for work, so the contact are all sync'd and photos, as well as keeping my phone backup up on it so if anything should happen when working abroad I can restore it.

Pity the calendar doesn't work with outlook, all that must go through gmail to keep apple and microsoft working together.

It's more of a grown up use of the phone than a kid's play toy (that most users seem to want)

Yup, because using an iPhone for anything more than adult stuff like calls and perhaps some calendaring and maybe email is all just kids' toys and games stuff.

Pretty much, I cant see any business case for most apps, unless you write apss as a job. I'm sure your boss wont appreciate time spent on angry birds.

You gotta think outside the box. Or, get a bigger box. :)

My boss doesn't care how I use my phone, as long as I get the job done. But, I self employed. :D

You sound like a cranky adult complaining about the kids today. Regardless, it doesn't sound like you need to upgrade since you are such a serious business user. Stay with what you have.

I would argue that the the average user will benefit from the improvements more than someone who only texts, calls and sends emails. You are more of an edge case.

People use their phones after work hours as well.
