So how many here work from home and have an Apple Watch? Why wear a watch around the house?

I occasionally work from home, so I'm happy to tackle this.

I wear mine at home because I still want my earn my steps and standing rings even at home.
I wear mine because I still like to know the time at home.
I wear mine because it still unlocks my laptop and desktop.
I wear it at home because I track my sleep and do most of my sleeping at home.

Pretty much the same reasons I'd wear it at work or the grocery store or any other place. In fact, I'm more confused by the idea that someone wouldn't wear their watch at home.

Your turn. Why wouldn't you wear your watch at home?

Currently a Series 2 Space Black Stainless Steel 42mm.

Previously:

SS Series 0 38mm (from launch until S2 came out)
A 42mm Space Grey Sport (through work)
Series 2 regular SS 42mm (until S3 launched)
And more recently a 42mm Series 3 Nike+ with LTE, although I barely used the LTE functionality so that got sold and I picked up a 2nd hand Space Black S2 as I never owned one and have always appreciated the finish from afar.

Always been a fan of watches and have a few regular watches at home, but I can't bring myself to wear them because they do nothing but tell the time, and kinda feel dated since AW was a thing.

General Manager of a Tech Retailer.

I used to wear a watch, but when it broke in an accident, I somehow stopped wearing one, courtesy the mobile phones and the computer. when I need time, there are clocks in the house, and there is the phone and the laptop.

You offer excellent and well-articulated reasons for getting a watch. About step counts, my phone is with me when I am up and about. :p

I used to be one of those people too. I'd take my phone nearly everywhere. And if I forgot it, I'd go back and get it. Now I'm not a slave to my phone. I still usually have it with me, but now I have the option of leaving it. I find myself taking advantage of that. I can run to the bathroom or go get a drink or take the trash out and I don't have to lug my phone along solely for the purpose of counting those steps. It's a nice little touch.

Additionally, and I could totally be wrong on this, I don't think steps on my phone apply towards any of the rings on my watch. To be honest, I've always just assumed that's how it works and don't really know for sure. It just don't seem very "Apple" to let you close rings without a watch.
