Netbarrier 10.3.5 is broken. The firewall part is still fuctioning, but the app monitoring functions doesn't record any incoming and outgoing ip traffic.

Most things seem to be working okay for me (pixadex, reason, cubase, Adobe CS...)

Also, USB overdrive SEEMS to be working ok, but middle mouse actions dont function correctly for some apps. I have it set as command+click but it wont work in finder for selecting mutiple items, for example, but it works fine in safari for opening new tabs, weird...

Any word if Virex 7.5.1 works? Before we have a debate about not needing an AV, my network IT people require an AV if I'm going to use their bandwidth, regardless of OS.

Wacom's not all dead...

Wacom tablet drivers are completely broken.

I have the Intuos3 Tablet. Drivers were updated in March 2005.
They work perfectly under 10.4 No problems yet. will be testing more extensively and post an update if i find anything unusual.

Wacom

yeah, i just bought a Intuos3 6x8 Tablet like 2 days ago. loaded the drivers off the cd first, plugged it in and everything worked fine.

I have major probs with VLC working though. load up a file and it just gives a whole bunch of errors then sometimes plays the video with no audio.

Popcorn
Remote Desktop (needs to be version 2.2 which isn't released yet)
Bittorrent

and as an aside, iChat AV seems to only give 30 fps when doing G5 to G5 (possibly dual G4 too)...15 FPS otherwise.

Can you further expand as to what does not work with Popcorn?

Azureus works.

I'm having problems with Norton Antivirus 9.03, live update problems and real time protection...
Roxio Toast 6.0.9 crashes when I try to make a dvd
Remote Desktop 2.1 crashes, have to wait for 2.2
Photoshop & Acrobat Pro gives me essential plugins are missing and I should reinstall even though it's a clean install
You can't import X509 Anchor certificates, etc... under keychain access
VLC not working right
Windows Media Player 9 extremely laggy

Those are the only ones I'm having problems with...

Toast works fine for me

I have burned multiple DVDs and CDs in toast 6.09 under Tiger.
No problems yet.
VLC is my biggest annoyance.

-Ci

note: I did an archive and install keeping my users and network settings.
Photoshop works fine but of course i had to mave the notorious /Library/ScriptingAdditions/AdobeUnitTypes file over from the old system to make things complete.

Does Virtual PC 7 work under Tiger, and how is the performance? Faster, slower?

Ok,

Rogue Amoeba updated airfoil, detour, audio hijack already, pro 2.5 on the way soon.

Delicious Library 1.5 is being released on the 29th with spotlight plugin, bug fixes, and dashboard widget.

Panic updated CandyBar (2.5) and Transmit (3.1) for Tiger

SubEthaEdit 2.1.2 is ready for Tiger consumption.

Little Snitch is at 1.2 beta 3 and 1.2 will be ready for Tiger

Cocktail is at 3.6 nd is ready for Tiger

Actually that's not weird at all. Sounds like USB Overdrive is not working, but your middle mouse button is working just as it's supposed to. "Command+click" and "middle mouse button" are two completely different and distinct actions, though some apps (that are 3-button aware) will do the same thing for either action. Doing command+click OR middle mouse button click will open a new tab in Safari, for example. :) Middle mouse button clicks don't do anything in Finder, though, which is why trying to select multiple items that way doesn't work. (Personally, I leave my middle button alone, because I use a few apps that actually need/use 3 buttons.)

So, in this case, you're trying to override the middle mouse button and turn it into a command+click instead, but the override is not working...hopefully they'll update USB Overdrive then.

Sorry, I can't resist, but the easiest solution for Norton AV would be to throw it on the ground, stomp on it several times, and then light it on fire! :)

Has anyone tried Photoshop *elements*? Wayney, is your whole Tiger a clean install or just your Adobe stuff? Perhaps try flushing all the Adobe things out of both library folders and *then* clean installing it?

The video players are distressing... :(

I'm also on the watchlist for SPSS...for which the news sounds pretty bad.

From reading several forums sites today...
Virex and SPSS won't work with Tiger
(to answer those who were asking above).

Can't confirm the reliability of the source - but the forums were ones I visit regularly that have a number of reliable power users in the know.

Here, here!!!

Some people have had a little trouble with Photoshop CS after an archive and install. This isn't a Tiger issue, it's a poor application transfer. There's a file from your "Previous System" folder that needs to be restored manually.

Logitech Control Center seems really unstable in Tiger. It forgets mouse button assignments (or maybe the daemon is unloaded from memory somehow?) and you have to log out and log back in to get them to work again (or restart the daemon service, but even then it sometimes doesn't work). I HATE LCC, but if you have an 8 button mouse, it's past what the OS can handle.

ical date does not update in dock

Not a big deal but the date for ical in the dock goes back to Jul. 17 after ical is closed. It used to show todays date before Tiger upgrade.

iScroll2 and PithHelmet

iScroll2 (Enables 2-finger scrolling on pre-2005 Powerbooks) and PithHelmet (Ad-blocking in Safari) are not working for me since I upgraded. According to versiontracker I have the latest versions of both.

Suitcase works fine my end. :) The only thing I seem to be having problems with is dashboard! The iTunes thing is so infuriatingly slow to respond, but I'm sure they are working on a great 10.4.1

Here what your looking for hope this help :) (it's in french but the translation is quite obvious OK is OK and non is no :) )

It seemed to be working for me, too, but when I noticed it wasn't in the System Preferences and ran the Application and it said I should re-install it, I did. That completely broke all my USB devices, including my keyboard and mouse. A Safe Boot (hold shift key while booting) allowed me in so I could remove the USBOD kext and all is well, except I'm not using USBOD any more. :(

Also, the .Mac version of GraphicConverter is broken - it crashes after the splash screen when you actually try to do anything.
