Struggling to think of 3 at the moment but 1 definitely that i've purchased (not recently but 2 years ago) would be contact lenses. Was apprehensive about them at first but my word have they improved my life!

should look into lasic, if that work for you. 4me suddenly colors became significantly more bright saturated. I still need reading glasses.

What are some things that you have purchased that improved and made your life a little easier? Can't state the obvious (ex. new house, car, phone, computer, etc...) I'll start...

  1. Toto Bidet - I splurged on a bidet earlier this year. It has a proximity sensor that automatically opens the lid. I was hesitant about the idea of water washing down there but boy I was wrong... I miss it whenever I travel...
  2. Bissell Steam mop - This thing is awesome, I just simply add some water and steam mops my hard floor in high heat. I used to mop my floors with single used Swiffer pads and this steam mop has changed my life. Great for OCD people like me knowing that it's killing germs amid this virus outbreak...
  3. Philips Hue bulbs with Google Assistant/Alexa Integration - Makes it so much more convenient to turn on/off lights. I recently configured my lights with the app so that it automatically slowly fade/turns on the lights on sunset which I thought was really cool.
1. Bidet like you

2. Noise canceling headphones

3. A good desk chair for WFH!

(runner up is also Hue lights, I'm terrible at remembering to turn off lights, now I can after I leave the room and hands free using Siri to boot!)

Yes, I reckon I will look into it in the future. I use my contact lenses while at work, and at home I wear my glasses just because it's easier. But my eyesight has deteriorated in the past 6-7 years so I reckon lasic will work for me.

Right now,

Apple Watch SE - I got it for Christmas, it changed my life already. It has made me less phone dependent, I actually workout more (I was working out a ton already, but this gives the extra push PLUS good measurements), and it is in general quite good for simple things.

Amazon Kindle - I purchased this last year I believe, but I am using it much more now that I am transitioning towards paperless more and more. I still prefer physical books over a kindle, but this is a good substitute with some advantages (size, portability, ability to download highlighting and notes, and night light).

Raycon E25 Earbuds - I got them last week, moving on from over the head headphones. They improved my life at the gym quite a bit, I also purchased them with a 20% discount which isn't bad at all. Sound quality is good for what I need (I mean, at the gym I am not going to focus on it that much) and they fit perfectly.

Couldn't agree more on the AW SE. Went from no workouts to daily. The watch really motivates me.

I forget if I posted my three before but I have two no-brainers.

First: great mattress for my bed. I bought one from a family-owned firm that had been in operation for about a century (sadly they got bought out a few years ago). I spend a third of my life in my bed, I might as well do it in something that's awesome.

Most important quality-of-life enhancer by a light year, nothing else comes remotely close.

Second: task chair. It's a Herman Miller Aeron that I picked up really cheap in the late Nineties during the first Dotcom Bubble from some failed startup. If I had to replace it, I'd look first at the Steelcase Leap -- a chair that didn't exist when I acquired the Aeron 23+ years ago.

With work-at-home mandates, this chair is even more valuable today than it was five years ago when I was still a corporate toiler commuting to an office.

Third: ?????

I'm not sure what the third thing is right now but I know what it will be one day.

When I renovate my bathroom I will install a Toto Washlet (one of the models with the heated seat) and that will be the third item.

Couldn't agree more. I use my phone so much less because of the watch.

I'll also add this. $10 well spent.

A trypophobe-repellent belt?

Precisely. It’s also a torture device (either for self inflicted punishment or for religious sacrifices).

In all seriousness, it’s a belt to be worn under the pants (flat part in contact with the body) and over your shirt/polo. It prevents the shirt from untucking or becoming too wrinkly. I found it incredibly useful and comfortable.

I don't think I would have figured out what it was.
