I suddenly have about 40 or so items new in PkgBackup that are Graphics Service Capability Bit items.

I don't see them in Cydia installed packages.

I have only added MyWi recently (had to install it via RockApp, then transfer to NoRock version, deleted RockApp and RockExtensions)

Could this be some Rock App stuff left over ?

Hmmm....I'm going to have to check mine and see if I have the same. That looks very new to me!

Okay, I've been without Rock for a couple of months and I just noticed today that I have the same entries. My previous backup was 76 entries, and now today when I start up PkgBackup it shows 121 packages, which of course includes all those new GSC entries. I think this is a question for the developer!

Previous to my adding Rock/MyWi these were not in my packages.

Could just be a coincidence as far as time frame if others without Rock now have them also.

I do not have Rock or MyWi, and I do not have these entries. I would not be at all surprised if this is some Rock extension problem. I wonder if anyone with MyWi who has not installed Rock after a clean backup could report whether he has these entries.

The developer indicated that these showed up after the "latest Cydia update" but I don't specifically recall the latest update that wasn't application specific. I have been on No Rock MyWi without Rock Extensions or RockApp installed since my last restore and today these showed up in my PkgBackup listing.

i don't have and i never had rockyouriphone nor mywi but i have exactly the same problem!!!!!

I guess that settles it then, it is not due to Rock, just coincidence. I'd love to hear from Saurik (or whoever) what this means and if we need these to be re-installed after a restore.

I wasn't completely convinced that it wasn't from Rock until tonight. I just SSH'd into my new iPad and the files are there too. I can guarantee that Rock has been nowhere near my iPad in the two days I've owned it!

No Rock here, but I do have MyWi. I've got the entries also. I didn't have them a week or so ago, since that's when I used PwnageTool to rejailbreak.

They are on my iPad. No Rock installation. No myWi. It's not Rock.

I do not have this issue, but I have not yet installed the latest updates. I will install them one at a time so I can find out what package is causing it.

ETA: Changed my mind. Don't think I'll make a couple of these updates until I find out what exactly these new dependencies "iPhone Firmware (/sbin)" and "UIKit Tools" are.

Let us know when you do!

GSC packages

Hi all,

I'm the developer behind PkgBackup.

GSC were installed by the latest Cydia Update or RockApp update but judging from RockApp logs, it seems that Cydia installed them.

Regards

Any idea why they would show up as separate packages, though? They are not listed as dependencies to be installed with the latest update; the only dependency I see is UIKit Tools...

To anyone who has installed this update: do these GSC entries show up as separate packages in your list of installed packages in Cydia?

Nope, don't see them at all in Cydia.

If I look at my list of packages with expert on, they are all listed as separate entries.

on cydia i'm using developer mode and i don't see them as separated packages....the problem is only on pkgbackup's side!!!
