It wouldn’t make sense to continue using Roman numerals, but the numbering scheme itself will always continue, because that’s been Apple’s forte from the beginning. Plus, by using the numbering scheme, it shows the highest iPhone, which is the newest, they want to make it easy for consumers to see which model is the most current offering.
