I'm most grateful to be born into a country which has allowed me a decent education, political and societal stability, and a realtively high quality of life. I really wish more people in the world could be born into the same situation.

My health would rank up there near the top, because without your health, you have nothing - nothing else matters.

I certainly won't tell that to my friends who both suffer from degenerative, incurable diseases, who actually seem to enjoy life very much.

Instead of being angry at God or their genes, or whatever, they learn to live with the fact that their diseases will, if they make it that far, lead to heart failure (one from a neurological disorder and the other from taking a medication that reduces pain but ultimately kills the patient...basically think Ozzy Osbourne but worse).

If all you have known most or all of your life is to deal with a disease which is ultimately 100% percent fatal, there is no other reality when there is no cure, so the choice to be happy rests in the person themselves who are born with such diseases as lou gehrig's disease, a severly defective heart, or diabetes type 1.

-I'm grateful for Leekohler because he's had such a big, positive impact in my life.
-I'm grateful for the MR community for being so great.
-I'm grateful for people who tip go-go dancers
-I'm grateful for my parents for being open minded, loving, and giving me great genes :).
-I'm grateful that I've never felt obligated to conform.
-I'm grateful that I don't have to hide myself to maintain any of my relationships.
-I'm grateful to have two awesome sisters, I have so much respect and love for them.
-I'm grateful to have two jobs that I love.

I'm a very fortunate person. I'm grateful for so many things in my life, it would be a crime for me not to be. I've had things so easy compared to many people. I owe so much to my parents. I'll take good care of them when they are old :). When kids get kicked out of home for being gay, they give me hugs. When kid's parents can't afford to send their kids to college, my parents send me only on the condition that I pay them back some day. When other kids don't get the love they deserve, I get more love than I'll ever deserve.

I am grateful for my son Kai, who overcame a rare and devastating form of childhood epilepsy with hundreds of seizures a day, some of them life-threatening. He makes my life wonderful, everyday.

I think you need to change your location under you avatar. :D

Oooooh iGary, where to begin! St. Tropez as in the sunning lotion, not the place in France.

Its a DHA sugar that, when in contact with your skin, makes melonin more prominent and thus, giving you a tan all year around. I don't wanna go in the sun and get cancer, nor use those damn sunbeds.. so, shout and hiss if you will, but everyday when I look at my orange mug in the mirror.. I thank the Lord for St. Tropez!

Let's see here...

I'm grateful for the most wonderful Grandma this Earth has ever seen. She was simply amazing and taught me so much.

I'm grateful for the people who have helped me and mentored me on my way through troubling times. These people know who they are. Thanks! :D

I'm grateful for the small group of close friends I have here in my town. Being bi/gay, I can't exactly be honest about my life with everyone, but this group of close friends has helped me more than they could imagine.

I'm grateful that I was able to overcome the closed mindedness I was raised on.

I'm thankful for other stuff, but these are the first few that come to mind, and I need a bath because I'm dirty after playing in the rain, soo...

Right now I'm most grateful for my health insurance and coverage. Surgery to repair a (second, dammit) torn ACL and the months of physical therapy and doctor's visits to follow will cost me all of $50 US.

Chocolate.

I guess by the color of your "type/font", you like regular chocolate, because if you liked white chocolate and wanted to put that in white type, nobody would see your reply and think you were not grateful for anything. :)

I'm grateful that the volume of ice is greater than that of an equal mass of water.

I think that deserves some credit. Good choice!

I'm grateful for David Bowie and Ludvig van Beethoven. Two cool dudes ;)
