I always think of "When Will I Be Loved" as a fun, upbeat song, in spite of its lyrics. I suppose that was the original intent. As far as I can recall (and also by looking at a list of her charting singles) I first became aware of Linda Ronstadt with her early 1975 hit "You're No Good." However, it was followed so closely by "When Will I Be Loved" that now, with my increasingly "fuzzy" memory, I tend to think of the latter as being my "first" by her.

Thanks for that great video.

I think I will share my favorite Linda Ronstadt song of all time tomorrow. I've been looking for an excuse, even though most people probably won't agree or care. 😉 LOL.

Who can decide?

Some John Lennon today. I remember where I was when I heard he’d been killed. 40 years ago today.
I was doing homework in my room watching Monday Night Football(NFL) with the t.v. volume off and listening to Double Fantasy on my turntable.

I turned the volume up on the t.v. about 30 seconds before Howard Cosell made the announcement.

I have a three month old daughter, so I listen to a bunch of mind numbing kiddie stuff. She's been discovering how to grab and hold things, and about an hour ago she started fooling with my Apple Watch while I had her on my lap. She apparently decided she was done with Hot Cross Buns and put on some Dire Straits.

So to answer the thread question, Dire Straits, specifically the Brothers in Arms album. :)

You can not go wrong, worth the time.
I was listening to it this morning during my car rider drop off duty at school. The band's banter was worth the price.

Funnily enough I've always heard that the next show at Hull City was an even better show!

And the Super Deluxe version, i.e. the $29.99 version, has that show on there as well.
