White Pony by Deftones. Takes me back to my late teens and early 20’s when I was still skateboarding

Some Afghan Whigs tonight. For the longest time I thought the name referred to wigs, not whigs with an H. Obviously something that could've been solved with some simple research, but I didn't really listen to them back then and thought the name was amusing so I let it go. They've grown on me since then.

Damn they have some good stuff.

Yes quite a catalogue 💕 - saw them in concert a few times - once in Calgary 80's and later in Helsinki - 90's - Recycler or Antenna

I remember taking the train from downtown Helsinki where my hotel was to the concert - and despite the rain and cool weather - ZZ Top put on a great show - with the usual 3 man show and spinning guitars - lol

When they played "Jesus Just Left Chicago" he changed and sang the chorus line to - "Jesus just left Chicago" - adding "because he got wise and came to Helsinki" and of course the crowd went wild - 💕

Edit: Had to come back and add Pincushion

The soundtrack from the movie Frida (music by Eliot Goldenthal).

Some years ago, not quite a decade ago - I had the privilege of visiting an art exhibition - a stunning exhibition - of the works of Frida Kahlo (the exhibition also included some of the works of her husband Diego Rivera); haunting, brilliant, unforgettable.

Happy 250th Birthday, Beethoven! His exact birthdate is estimated to be one or two days before his December 17, 1770 baptismal date.

My favorite of his works, the 7th Symphony conducted by von Karajan:
I have that on well CD but on everything that plays music, great choise!
