The Beach Boys' California Girls, which inspired the Beatles' song Back in the U.S.S.R. There was also a great modern version that was made for the opening scene of the 1985 James Bond film A View to a Kill, but I'm unable to find a full version of it anywhere.

Your post has inspired me to listen to Michael Oldfield's Nuclear, from the Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain soundtrack album. Apparently it was inspired by the life of his father or grandfather or something.

The incredible The End by The Doors, which was used to great effect in the opening scene of Francis' Apocalypse Now.
The incredibly sensual single Scream by Usher. The song has a very different feel after the 2017 allegations of the music artist spreading herpes to unwitting sexual partners.😬
The moment this started, I got chills and immediately went back to being an 8 year old. 40 years on, it's still an absolutely great song. Enjoy.

People hated the Songs of Innocence album because it was forced on them without their consent, but it did give us this really good single by U2.
As we are dangerously close to December, no more radio in the car for me. So had an 80’s playlist on today.
I can't tell you how much I freaking love this band. One of my big regrets in life is not being able to see them live.

I was able to see them up close, I don't remember which ones though, at NAMM quite a few years back. They were demoing some new computer based classical string instruments. It was pretty cool!
