Always enjoyed the sound and the intense rhythms of the tabla, but this 3+hour collection had to be broken up into 4 or so listening sessions. Pretty interesting (and over my head) writeup in Wikipedia on how these are played and the rhythms used.

I was lucky enough to see him live last year, just months before he passed. One of the best concerts I've ever been to. Two hours of the same "raga" - sort of like a mode - and I never got tired of it. Was engaged the entire time.
