A blast from the 90s. Jane's Addiction.

Now playing: Fun Fun "Living In Japan", from Have Fun!.
Before that: Paul Hardcastle "Just For Money", from Paul Hardcastle.

(Both of these are from the 1980s, so I guess this is the "Blast From The 80s" post to complement iBlue's and Happybunny's posts above.)

Experimental rap with lyricism that cannot be rivaled by other contemporary acts. It definitely sounds gross to many (beat-wise and vocally), but for others who appreciate unique beats paired with cryptic lyrics, it's certainly laudable.

Nice song.

It's so awesome to see what the hometown boys have done, I've known these guys for almost 20 years.

Here's a clip, I bet you haven't seen. ;)

Slug will be turning 40 this year, this video was shot when he was 21. I used to "paint" at this same area along the train tracks in South Minneapolis.

Tom Waits.

God I love a good gravelly voice. It makes me wish it were late enough for bourbon.

edit: for the sake of going with the flow and posting a youtube link of at least one song
