Just heard Ben Lacy, play Hey Nineteen, on this radio thing.

At first I thought it was Tuck Andress, of Tuck & Patti fame. But no.

I can't find it on YouTube, but it's available for 99¢.

If you play guitar, and value your instrument, I would not listen to this one.

After the concert of two nights ago, I've been on a Pink Martini binge-feste; 'U Plavu Zoru', (a cello made those sounds mimicking a departing - nay, fleeing - train - stunning....) "Song of the Black Lizard', "Una Notta a Napoli", 'Amando Mio', "Andalucia", "Que Sera, Sera"....and so on....simply sublime..

At this very moment, National Anthem by Lana Del Rey on Spotify (for the first time). Whoever arranges her music does an awesome job, lyrically though it's very weak.

Oh it's finished...listen again or switch back to my WoodKid/Kavinsky playlist? Hmm...

I'm getting myself pumped up for The Dark Knight Rises which comes out next week by listening to the soundtrack, ESPECIALLY the track that's played for the final trailer:

I love the 5/8 time signature, and using chants that people submitted from around the world was a brilliant idea. Plus, there's the reminiscence of "Why So Serious?" with the uneasy sliding strings. It's a shame this version of the track doesn't appear on the standard soundtrack. However, it's possible it might appear as one of the bonus tracks for the digital releases (The Shadows Betray You, The End, No Stone Unturned, Risen From Darkness). Either way, we'll find out next week. ;)

Black Hate, depressive black metal from Mexico. It's very good, but it isn't easy to listen to so I'd only recommend it to dedicated BM-fans.
