David Bowie - The Rise And Fall Of Ziggy Stardust And The Spiders From Mars on vinyl on my vacuum tubed audio system....Pure heaven!

Agree; Bowie is 'pure heaven'.

You've prompted me, and tweaked my memory, so a few Bowie tracks now beckon. Currently, I'm listening to 'Heroes', to be followed by 'The Man Who Sold The World", "Rebel, Rebel", and oh, a few more......'pure heaven' indeed.

I.D. by Kasabian.

And before that it was The Edge from U2 telling everyone not to do things in a monotone voice.

I've been away for a few months - work related matters - and ordered a few CDs (yes, to those of tender years, I'm one of those who still buys CDs, especially if they have unusual or interesting music which I cannot obtain elsewhere). Besides, I love that old-fashioned endeavour whereby one has to attempt to slice open the plastic wrapping, (without scratching the cover, naturally; needless to say, have done that, too...) and the effort and thought involved of easing the CD out of its cover, (delayed gratification, but hopefully, not too delayed....) and then, that sound, that electronic click - which to those of us who were 'out' in the 80s - sounded like nothing so much as the sound of 'the future', elegant, neat, echoing the mirrored silver of the obverse side of a CD as an expression of how effortless and elegant life could be.........

Okay, that is merely the backstory to why a number of wrapped CDs awaited me on my return from the Caucasus mountains; so, there were some of Renaissance and Tudor music CDs, which included "Italian and English Music for Lute and Recorder", "'Good Companye' Great Music from a Tudor Court", and a few Mexican delights, namely, Roberto Rodriguez's "Mexico and Mariachis" (simply brilliant), and, the CD I am currently listening to:

'Chingon "Mexican Spaghetti Western"' - honestly, who could resist such a title? Not I.

I think I'm addicted to this song...

...and now so am i. thanks.:eek:

that wouldn't usually be a problem, but i'm also currently addicted to these guys;

two of my favorites, but i warn you... if you go watch the rest of the 36, you'll end up blowing a couple hours on youtube. amazing talent and skill.

I'm listening to Edicion Critica: Piazzolla Interpreta A Piazzolla by Astor Piazzolla. It is the best album I've ever heard... Piazzolla is amazing :).
